How come WoD's queue as a tank takes so long (30ish minutes)? is nobody doing WoD? Or just that everybody suddenly wants to play tank? I used to get instant queues in ST.

Makes getting the tank body so much, much worse...

There's only 3 tank spots per alliance, simply not many available spots.

Queues as a melee DPS are instant, I assume healer is pretty fast as well, ranged DPS is slow because everyone wants to EZ mode.

Healer queue is not instant but its pretty fast like roulette queues.

The 3 times I've done WoD I've waited 2-4 minutes on SMN. 2 of the 3 were in progress right before Cerberus.

In progress is kind of an exception, after 2nd boss half the BRDs in the alliance leave because the aiming body didn't drop which means a bunch of DPS slots are FFA.

Ranged DPS queues are still the slowest by far save for tank, everyone wants to go as a ranged DPS because it's easier but the DF insists on having 1-2 melee per party.

I've never seen the average wait time going on melee to be more than 6m (90% of the time it's "5m or less") and, in practice, never been more than a minute or so.

Queuing as BRD on my alt it's generally in the 10-20m range.

...and yeah, that's about the only good use for them. After that 3 days for a single tier 1 buff, you have to craft another one to put in the wheel.

I've never waited more than a few minutes for WoD on BLM. I queue in progress but half the time I get fresh run. I mostly want BRD or tank loot but can't be assed playing them. Got so desperate to be done with WoD this week I rolled DRG body - a job I've not played at all since 1.0. Every other drop I see in there is DRG.

Worst part abut WoD is I always seem to start tanking when the MT dies. I'm BLM.

Just had a run where I died due to that on Cerberus, got raised 10 seconds later and immediately caught in the purple shit and died again. Somehow even with double weakness for 2 minutes I finish the fight 50 DPS higher than the second highest. So many bads.

I've noticed this a lot too on NIN. When the MT downs, I usually get a few blows to the face then drop because the other tanks want an easy ride.

Anyway...

3 wipes on Diabolos today because or BLM and WHM didn't have the HP to ignore his 2H or w/e you want to call it. Finally had enough shit then decided to mark the effin doors.
