Besides the fact that they rebooted Spiderman to be basically the same movie whereas Leto's joker is going to be in an entirely different kind of movie...

Tobey as Parker was nowhere near as iconic as Heath Ledger's Joker. He was talking about Leto taking on a role that has been done so amazingly well so recently.
