Saying new Jobs doesn't preclude classes. Nor does saying new Classes preclude Jobs. They've shown there's no hard and fast set rules now that Dark Knight is a Job without a class.

I'm really hoping the gun job is the new healer. From what I remember they said the expansion would introduce a new Tank (DRK) DPS and Healer role, and that one of them is the gun job. Either Chemist or some sort of Cannoneer/Flintlock style job from Tactics would be cool.
BST with guns pls
/ac "Charm Shot" <t>
I'm expecting it to either be the healer or for then to, announce musketeer and a new, healer.
I'm not sure how much room for debate there is given that this class exists.
http://finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Agent
Edit: It fits all the pieces we've had dangled in front of us, at the very least.
That class exists as something specialised to a single character in a single cameo appearance, definite 100% proof right there.
I actually agree but SE has a habit of throwing the odd curveball and I can't quite see how it will fit in. Still, we'll know more soon.
If they're not intentionally trolling us, I feel confident guessing Agent. If it's "we're so clever, no one will guess" then I'm looking forward to Bulletmancer.
I still kinda wish, for the gun used from Final Fantasy Unlimited ;/
It uses a mixture of sands (or life energy), to summon various primals.
But yeah considering 007 thing, its most likely agent O_o
The Ragnarok flavor text when you receive it mentions that the weapon was a sword in the past. They know they are trolling and at least admit it this time unlike their stance with the Elder Staff/Omnirod.
TBH I kinda always wondered why Ragnarok was a sword. When I hear that word I think about vikings, and vikings swing axes motherfucker.
Should've been a sword taped to a stick.
I would give a stupid grin if one of the new classes/jobs ends up being one of the unused placeholders from 1.0. Eg. Enforcer, Sentinel, Flayer.
