I'd put it a notch above meh. Funny moments but not in any rush to watch it again. Letting James go full Franco was a good decision.
fave joke:
Spoiler: show
Watched it baked was amazing *helps I have a decent understanding of how ridiculous N . Korea is*
Thought this movie was hilarious, but I guess you'd have to like the usual James Franco/Seth Rogen movies to enjoy it.
Better or worse than This is the End?
I thought it was a good movie. Not amazingly funny but it'll keep you watching and make you laugh a few times.
I found it less funny than Pineapple Express.
Franco got to be full Franco. He made the movie with his off-kilter sense of humor. Franco basically got to parody Dennis Rodman in a strangely ironic way, hence the basketball jokes as well as the dinner jokes.
Most of the premise of them reaching Pyongyang can be paralleled to real events as well -- it's common knowledge that reporters and interviewers who get access to North Korea are commonly sent to places that are set up for the sole purpose of trying to trick them into believing that North Korea is a prosperous place.
It was a great movie if you are a fan of blatantly obvious toilet-like humor.
Fuck the trees!
The Eminem and package securing scenes both amused me
It was pretty funny. Not amazing, but good for some laughs. "Yo I got mad stank dick!"
I'm surprised Seth Rogan and James Franco haven't started filming the movie "Lizard Squad" and portray themselves as the hackers.
It was ok. Decent enough watch.. No idea how they got this out there though haha!
You guys got honeydicked into watching
