Thought I'd make a thread to see what sort of thoughtful presents you received or gave out this year! It's a day early but I won't be near any electronics tomorrow.

Mom in law - 13 qt stainless colander
Other mom in law - perfume
Father in law - 1/2 inch craftsman torque wrench.
Niece - signed Percy Jackson books
Nephew - nirvana book (big nirvana fan)

gf: got her hair done the other day. (her being a black woman this is like a 200+ ordeal lol), perfume from victoria's secret, diamond earrings
gf's son (3): some ninja turtles, a spider man, some dvd's of various kid's movies, and some home depot workbench thing the gf said he wanted in toys r us.
gf's daughter (7): a V-tech watch, some barbie dolls, one of the frozen barbie dolls she wanted that toys r us had on sale, some dvd's

everyone else squat, zilch, nada. ended up having to get emergency life saving surgery like 2 weeks ago so outta work the next 6 weeks and couldnt get anything for anyone else :/

what i know im getting so far:
an electric razor and a buncha clothes. parents are getting me a gamestop gift card too right after the holidays to get some ps3 games i want.

Can't post what I got my wife till Sunday but for dad we got him a blue ray player, digital meat thermometer, bottle of wine, skinny taste cookbook. His gf got some bath and body Works, electric thermos, candles, and some snack serving trays that also hold wine glasses. Brother and sister in law got the gta v ps4 bundle with last of us, an extra controller and d3 ultimate evil edition, sister in law also got some bath and body Works stuff.

Gave: nothing. my parents are super hard to shop for. everything they want is really expensive, because they bought all the cheap stuff. i think next year im just gonna build them stuff out of Lego.

Received: We havent "opened presents" but as I've mentioned before, my parents have always been pretty casual about holidays, and they've gotten more-so as I've gotten older. So they decided to just give me $500 to place an order on Shop.Lego.com. I forget what kits I ordered, and I'm supposed to act surprised so I'm not going to peek at the receipts. Will post pictures once I open them.

Not many people I exchanged gifts with this year, just two main people really. Friend I usually might exchange with this year explicitly didn't want anything, since I got him a TV last year poor guy was still playing games on a 2x" TV!

Spent a decent chunk of money on myself for once and built a HTPC/secondary PC too, after my main PC started having some issues this year... really tempted to build a new main/gaming PC too now.
