What's funny is that they have a 105 MB speed that's already $200/month. 25 is $68 and 50 is around $100, but those packages are getting a boost within the next couple of months.

Link with details? It might not be as stupid as it sounds. People with a lot of money or that just really really want high speed without another alternative would still pay it. And if it leads to other prices getting lower as a result maybe it could lead to a cheaper price as it continues on.

So i got the pricing a little wrong for Minneap/StP, but it's still redic for compared to an alternative that is unfortunately only offered in a small section of the city.

Pricing is entirely relative to location. I had 100/40 through Comcast for almost 2 years paying $115 with TV services. Its even cheaper now that we have $90 950/450 fiber here.

FIOS will basically offer you any package you want if you actually ask. They offer 500/500 here but I pay for 1000/1000. I pay way too much($400/m) but it's at least an option.
