I always run into the problem that I am tabbing through targets and the window pops up and boom. Duty withdrawn. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

That's not so bad. Imagine you're navigating some menu with the left-right buttons.
DF window pops up.
left/right -> O/X
You've just canceled your duty.
I wonder..
Spoiler: show
edit: oops wrong tag, i have seared at least one set of virgin eyes
Its because the "Game pad" or whatever its called on PS4 defaults to "Withdraw" if you touch it, i'm drawing this experience from the Official forums not actual experiencee... So one fumble of your controller and hello withdraw. I'm guessing they put Wait there so they can add a new Default? Idk. But... yah idk. the "Are you sure?" to the withdraw seems like it would have been adequate.
Or any of the other explanations tooooooo
Why can't they standarize that across the game. I'm still going to accept teleports by accident due to the same problem where they gain priority over any currently opened window and the cursor defaulting to accept.
I for one am really happy about the duty window change, cause I'm one of those people who plays on controller and once in a while accidentally withdraws from duty when it pops and I'm tabbing through things. The confirmation when summoning chocobo if you're registered for duty is nice, too!
I wonder if pony drop rate will actually be decent now? I never see them even after the supposedly upped drop rate. The downside is that every motherfucker on the planet is gonna have one ;(
Yoshi said they doubled the drop rate in 2.4 but that it didn't change much because the original rate was very low anyway (1% o less?). I'm guessing this will be a much bigger increase.
Wanna bet Kirin is a rainbow unicorn?
Foolishly hoping it's a manticore 'o'
It's Xehanort. Or whatever his name is.Actually, I think we have seen him. He should be Pashtarot. This might be a stretch, but re-watch the cutscene at the end of 2.0, with the Ascians in Zodiark's domain (esp the part where they all raise their hands and say "To Zodiark!"). Pashtarot looks like he has some sideburns, similar to the Ascian in the 2.5 preview shots. I did however just took a quick looksie on a Youtube video, actually turning on the PC to watch the replay.
Reading about the new Frontlines mode just reminds me of why I still don't really do any Frontlines; can't play with friends from another GC. Just making it a free-for-all would do wonders for helping with the queues.
I guess since Wolves den exists there's no reason to break the lore portion of frontlines. Even though I'm 50/50 on using lore as an excuse, Frontlines literally is a GC based PvP system. It was fine when there were actually more players doing it..but like any MMO, when players drop and interest in an event starts dropping it becomes far more noticeable.
I am not sure you understand what I am on about?
In the 2.5 notes it says:
So from patch 2.5 it will be like the Ready menu is now. Default selection for Duty up to 2.5 was "Yes", which I love! Because it allows me to just ram that button while I do other shit, one of the things is surfing the web because plenty of fucktards withdraw and whatnot to just waste my fuckin time, so I got controller enabled when window isn't focused and just ram A (Xbox controller lolz) when I hear the duty sound. When using a gamepad, the default selection is Wait.
It's a minor gripe, but I know 1.0 players bitched about these idiot proof menu's and it's like: well fuck that, they are all back!
