    Hundred Fists testing

Was given info on Hundred Fists delay, and did a preliminary confirmation of it. Postulate is that Hundred Fists delay is 25% of standard calculated delay (ie: after Martial Arts reduction, plus weapon). So, 99 mnk using Verethragna would have 25% * (280 + 51) = 82.75 delay.

    Test:

FRAPS of Hundred Fists @ 30 FPS

    Hit, Frame
    1 , 973
    2 , 1009
    3 , 1055
    4 , 1095
    5 , 1141
    6 , 1180
    7 , 1229
    8 , 1264
    9 , 1313
    10, 1350
    11, 1399
    12, 1436
    13, 1487
    14, 1520
    15, 1570
    16, 1606

    Linear regression equation: 42.651x + 926.65, R=0.9997

Slope is 42.651 frames per attack. Given 30 frames per second, that's 1.4217 seconds.

Using 58.85 delay per second, that's 83.65 delay. Close enough, given measurement uncertainty. Confirms that Hundred Fists is -not- the same as capped haste (20% of 480+51, or 106 delay), and actually goes well below that cap.

Needs confirmation with other weapons to be sure of formulation. I don't have time right now.

Capped haste is 80% of delay before Martial Arts. Hundred Fists is 75% of delay after Martial Arts.

    Delay with capped haste: 20% * (480 + 51) = 106
    Delay with Hundred Fists: 25% * (280 + 51) = 83 [or 25% * (275 + 51) = 82, if using Tantra+2 body]

Overall, about 28% faster than capped haste.

Wow that is crazy. I had heard a long time ago it was 75% Haste (Delay Reduction), but always thought it counted towards the same cap as everything else. Interesting that it works differently than Haste. Anyway:

    A) Verethragna Capped Delay= 106.2(effective 80% Haste)=33.8983 attack rounds/minute

    B) Verethragna under Hundred Fists= 82.75(effective 84.42% Haste)=43.5045 attack rounds/minute 28.34% Increase

    C) With Tantra Body+ Shaolin Belt= 79(effective 85.12% Haste)=45.5696 attack rounds/minute 34.43% Increase(4.75% over option B)

Looking at how each functions, these are working representations of delay (They're equivalent):

    {(Haste)(SP)(Base Delay) + (Haste)(SP)(Weapon Delay)} - (SP)(Martial Arts)

    or

    (Haste)(SP)(Base Delay + Weapon Delay) - (SP)(Martial Arts)

    or

    (SP){(Haste)(Base Delay + Weapon Delay) - (Martial Arts)}

When you have no haste, but have SP:
    {(SP)(Base Delay) + (SP)(Weapon Delay)} - (SP)(Martial Arts)
(SP)(Base Delay + Weapon Delay - Martial Arts)

When you have no SP, but have Haste:
    {(Haste)(Base Delay) + (Haste)(Weapon Delay)} - (Martial Arts)
(Haste)(Base Delay + Weapon Delay) - (Martial Arts)

Edit: Is the cap still 80 for the total or just the (Haste)(Base Delay + Weapon Delay) portion?

if you count specific gear (multiattack +, crit%+ critdmg+) it would reach a lot more than this, especially with the mythic.

    Regresion of first half:
    35.214x + 372.35
    R^2= 0.9996

    Regresion of second half:
    35.232x + 968.81
    R^2 = 0.9992

Average slope of 35.223 frames per round = 1.1741 seconds per round
@58.85 delay per second, that's 69.096 delay per round.
    69.096 / 280 = 24.68%

Slope of 53.332 frames per round = 1.7777 seconds per round
@58.85 delay per second, that's 104.62 delay per round.
    104.62 / 420 = 24.91%

So, the scale matches for delays of +0, +51 and +140. Pretty sure we can consider it confirmed. Would only need to verify the impact of -MA delay gear.

If you mean DPS...yeah, but notice those numbers are attack rounds which (multiattack +, crit%+ critdmg+) don't effect.

Shaolin Belt should always lose to Windbuffet during HF, and also Hundred Fists greatly favors lower delay weapons. I am pretty sure Vereth (.25(280+51)=82.75delay) and Glanz (.25(280+96)=94delay)end up being almost the same for total attacks/minute because of the large delay difference between them(Vereth Should attack 13.6% faster, compared to only 8.47% faster at normal delay cap).
