Thinking NYC for ramen, maybe Ippudo, but not sure what to do after that. I'd like to have ramen a second time at a different place and then come home and cook the steaks for dinner but I have no idea what to do during that gap between us being fat and eating ramen at two separate places.

Can grab some cookies from Le Vain. Looks like they moved locations, used to be around 79th on the west side of the park in this little walk-down shop, but now it's showing 117th on street level. Awesome breads, cookies, etc. Can cover the sweet tooth after dinner.

If you're heading downtown further, go to Grey Dog on W 16th for Hot Chocolate, Coffee, Tea, w/e.
Try to get into a speak easy. They're usually packed, but they're fun. Something like Please Don't Tell.
Find other nice bar/cafe to sit with your fat stomachs.
NY Botanical Gardens in the Bronx. They have an event in the evening too.

Yeah, it gets pretty brutal in NYC with this cold, but noodles are always worth the trouble. Just look at Google maps to see whats around it to duck out of the cold in.
