It's common sense. They also said they want players to earn cards properly and obviously some cards are going to be rare (likely those dropped in duties) which is why they won't allow you to purchase cards yet.

I can't get over why they shrunk the playing field for Triple Triad. All it does is take away a big strategy element since there are less overall choices

Wha? Wasn't it always a 3x3 grid and 5 cards each? I don't know what you mean by "shrunk the playing field" unless you mean like "physically doesn't take up the whole screen" ?

Prob confusing Triple Triad and Tetra Master. I sure get them mixed up since it's been ages since I've touched either one.

I never got them mixed up because I never played Tetra Master because it was obviously inferior.

Japery aside, obv I did play it in FF9 but the thing that pissed me off about it the most was the fact that your deck was limited to 100 cards and so you had to discard dupes if you wanted to collect every card.

It then killed my parents and I have been unable to forgive it since.

Am I the only one who loved both Tetra Master and Triple Triad? Shit was one of the primary highlights of ff8, and I played the shit out of my free month back on playonline.

Before I actually got into XI I spent more time on Tetra and won the weekly 'pack made after you' deal. Was really fun and met some good people before I started into XI.

i played tetra master during ffxi maint

till date i still cant seem to get a hold of multiple rules.... i can only play plain style >.>

I didnt cancel tetra master until a few years ago. I would play it every now and then up to that point, a lot more in the beginning. Was fun.
