Why is no one posting about the update? Carboncoat AND Carbontwine from the weekly quest. Can only pick 1 at a time however

Edit: Aside from that and the new ponytail hairstyle, everything else is pretty meh I guess lol

My laptop with FFXIV is out of commission until upgrades. I won't be able to any deep data mining anything for almost an hour on my spare. People should have the patch done by now however.

I don't feel like xporting shit but I found the cards, can't see their actual numeric values I think, or if you can it's annoying. Only gonna list the interesting ones I don't think that are listed on the notes.

Only other thing worth noting is a MP cost reduction to Ruin and Ruin2.

So basically as we suspected, the only adjustment they are doing for ACN/SMN/SCH is reducing Ruin spells MP cost is due to:

1) In 3.0, with the level cap and new skills, changing ACN skills too much will affect too much. Especially on SCH side as well.

2) Also related to 3.0, spell speed and skill speed are undergoing big changes so they don't want to make more major changes right now to avoid breaking things later.

Additionally, they did test changing other stuff like Aetherflow MP return values but it would benefit/affect SCH quite a bit as well, thus in the end they went with just reducing Ruin spell costs.

Yoshida also mentioned for SMN's, they should be able to go on longer with the Ruin II + booksmack dps'ing without running out of mana as fast, but it's obviously not limitless. Please try out the changes and look forward to it.

Something I did find out ironically -- FFXIV's patcher automatically patches the game with sequential patch upgrades (2.0 vanilla -> hotfixes -> 2.1 -> hotfixes -> 2.2 -> etc...) if you are starting from no game on your machine. so with a fast enough connection might be possible to "force" a patch on patch day if you are insane enough to delete the game and have it re-installed.

Silly as shit however to delete and reinstall your game so you can get a patch an hour or so sooner than others, lol.
