Summoner Blood Pact Damage +% Cap?

Hi Everyone, From the recent update there has been a whole host of pet gear introduced (helios set with pet augs). Now, I have been able to get +7 bp dmg on all, 3-4 pet crit rate on all, and 26 or 27 matt on all (except feet - still trying).

With that said: Is there a current known cap to BP dmg+%? Assuming I can get the pet matt augment on feet to beat hagondes +1 with pet matt, that gives 35 bp dmg from augment, 6 bp dmg from legs. So without considering esper earring, or my 4 bp dmg conveyance cape, That'd put me over 80% with the 119 nirvana I get in March, without using convokers +1 body. I want to make sure theres no testing out there on cap % so I am not missing out on damage.

I was unable to find a relevant thread, so I wanted to put this question out to the general public in a fresh thread.

I don't think there is a known cap partly because your proposed set will have way more than would've been possible before last update. So doubt it has been tested yet. That said all that BP dmg combined with being able to get bp dmg and pet mab on the alluvion staff will probably make nirvana not the best magical bp item anyways

I'm at 2% of the maximum possible, if there is a cap it's not before +92%.

Right, thats what I am getting at here. With that said, do you know the tipping point, in terms of +%, that would flip that? Based on previous threads on these forums, it was my understanding that you would be looking at nirvana, yyr+1, hagondes +1 feet with matt aug, and fill in remaining slots. So if this is still accurate for the bp dmg tipping point, I would imagine the ideal bp dmg +% number would be around 55-60%? And, after that flip slots to magic attack on pet for maximum damage.

Personally, I have built sets based without using Nirvana and plan on making updates to sets once I get it in the coming months. So input is appreciated.

To your point about replacing Nirvana in that set: I wouldn't remove it because of the level increase on avatar. Changes would ideally be made to your other gear slots.

Once I get a 119 nirvana, my set would be at 93% bp dmg if going flat BP Dmg route: Nirvana, helios head hands legs feet, convokers doublet, conveyance with 4 bp dmg, esper earring. Thats maximum obtainable from my current understanding. Obviously, this is not ideal for magical or hybrid blood pacts at all.

Well it's really hard to account for the +2 level mostly because I can't seem to find any accurate info (nor could I really calculate out exactly) formulas for BP dmg.

As far as tipping points you could just compare mab vs bp dmg but it's not really so simple as a tipping point it's more of a balancing act the more you have of either the less valuable plus some slots are closer than others even before taking that one is so would probably be easier just do some basic math between changing a few of the close ones.

Like staffs would be close regardless just because you can get like 120ish pet mab and probably get the bp dmg on alluvion so it becomes comparing 120 mab to 33 bp, feet would be close as you mentioned because it would basically be like 20 mab to 7 bp (not sure if the crit matters or not), Shomonjijoe +1 would definitely lose 25-30 mab dependent on unity vs 26 and 7 bp dmg. And actually don't think anything else comes close so that would be pretty easy to math out that with only 2 slots with 2 pieces each for combinations. Basically just do total mab*bp so get a number that is proportional to the dmg just factoring out all the other stuff. So like naked smn besides staff nirvana nothing else would be 1.4*1.4 while alluvion staff nothing else with 7 bp and 20 mab augments would be 1.07* 2.6

Then after that I'd say still use nirvana anytime it's close as the other stuff should make up the difference.

That's something close to what I was thinking. So I guess the takeaway here is I need to first see if pet: matt is even obtainable on helios feet (20 +2 snoworb and nothing still except max acc/near max att aug). After that testing will need to be done with the mentioned set and swapping for Nirvana and feetsies.

Looks like I will be out in Kamihr/Outer Raka testing nonstop once I finish up on Nirvana. Oh joy!

Also need to see if bp dmg is actually available on staff. Don't think I've seen anyone trying for it (or really hardly any attempts to use dusk on weapons)... but I got it on my flute so I'd assume that would be an all "weapon" thing but at the same time don't really know how high it goes. My flute was 5 iirc but that might not be the limit and staff might have different max values as some weapons seem to have different values than armor

For now and for simplicity sake, I am going to forgo that item. Considering I am in gil hell having completed alex on a second mythic and starting on a third, I am starting to take a cost benefit approach (would not have noticed from me doing the helios set in 2 days of new skirmish release). The staff itself wouldn't be that big of a jump from things like Nirvana/Frazil/Tuma. Min maxing I agree that it'd be nice, however. Not something I am willing to test at the moment.

The maximum is +94, max is +5 on Conveyance Cape.
My sets are not finished yet but atm I do more dmg with Astralwatcher and it's possible to keep the "Lv +2" on BPs if you swap Nirvana > Pet MAB staff 1 sec before the BP goes off, this works about 80% of time with a <wait2> for me but the said increase is fairly minor.
I haven't got a single BP dmg+ augment on Keraunos yet and it's still hard to get pet MAB+20~21 it seems.
Pet MAB is of course a possible augment on Helios Feet.

    A few things to add:

Max MAB seems to be 30 on Helios set for pets. I have 28-29 on all pieces currently.

Did you get 7 Bp dmg using duskorb stones +1? That's amazing that you have maxed all the pieces. I can't get higher than 5 on any pieces.

the patch notes seem to indicate that they have increased the augment bonuses on the weapons (Keraunos). Perviously, the pet MAB cap was 21 on this weapon. The notes imply that it can now go higher, but I am very skeptical. I also haven't seen BP dmg reported yet on keraunos using duskorbs. Has anyone tested further ?

Yeah that's a lot of money to drop on testing... Well assuming you get another 25 mab on those feet using those pieces the back you listed and earring multiplying pet mab to bp dmg Nirvana would be 4.9322 , Keraunos with theoretical 20 mab 7 bp augment would be 5.8259, and frazil would be 5.5522. Those same staffs but with hagones feet with 25 mab augment would be Nirvana: 5.18, Keraunos: 5.9072, Frazil: 5.616.

So yeah looks like Nirvana loses handily and if we can get the bp augment then keraunos can be a good 5.1% higher than frazil and hag feet still best in terms of pure magic dmg by a decent amount. So yeah potentially higher but would require throwing tons of dusk orbs at it which are currently crazy so wait and see is probably the best approach (maybe even just make a keraunos with just mab and whatever leaf augment you want if you don't have some other 120 mab staff)

I only did duskorb +2 on all of my augments. There was no +1 so I cannot comment on that. Also, to my knowledge no one has specifically tested kera to see if there are new augs. Ultimately, its a high cost for low reward so most do not seem to be jumping to do it.

I've been throwing some leafdims at it and that doesn't seem to have changed except I think there is DT as well as pdt. Snow seems to be completely the same as before on everything. Don't have enough dusk to really feel like testing yet

Question: Can Physical BPs double attack? Would Pet: Double Attack be a useful BP augment?

All bps can crit - only phys can double attack on hits similar to a ws. Crit wins dmg wise since it is inclusive of all bp rage. That is my understanding. So da for pet would only be for phys/avatar melee.

Well crit rate wouldn't help magical crit rate

Yes and no. Crit is more of the way to go at the end of the day whichever way you slice it. I found this thread helpful back when I was changing gear around last year (shocked it's still there):

I'd love to see some non abyssea tests that show how all physical and magical bp benefit from pet crit rate.
I don't see the thing unrealistic or impossible but I'm a tad skeptic to believe it applies to ALL bps and not just specific ones without data to support

I wouldn't doubt physical... but magical is magical and why would there magical crit rate stat if crit rate worked on it? Now the physical part of hybrid maybe...

Well with that said I do find it rather odd that they would introduce crit rate (not crit Dmg but rate) on only alluvion, have no Magic crit hit augment, and no other gear aside from glyphic that would enhance on the magic end. While I'm fairly certain that crit does work on flaming crush, I agree there is limited info out there on the pure magic end. Considering the buffs given to smn this past update I want to err on the side that this crit applies to both. I'm planning on doing shaggy ovims when I'm back from work this evening for other testing but can do a round of let's say 200 fire ii split between sets to see a vanilla set versus crit set.
