Scored a 0 as well, that thing is white/gold. Knowing the actual dress is blue/black, I can't even imagine how many bad choices regarding lighting, distance, flash, etc had to be made to take that picture. I can usually switch between illusion images with minimal effort, but I cannot for the life of me get that thing to look like black whatsoever.

This was buried at the end of a page and noone replied about it, it explains the science behind why we see it differently.

Don't know what you fuckers are talking about seeing anything remotely resembling any shade of black - I see a light shade of blue and a dirty orange/gold shade for the lace, which matches with that pixel color analysis of the original photo. I'm sure that this debate wouldn't even exist if the photo weren't being viewed primarily on tablets and phones with over-saturated, piss-poor color accuracy, or piece of shit TN monitors with their vertical gamma shift.

There is a test on which people check their ability to see color. http://www.xrite.com/online-color-test-challenge It's not hard but it's very telling when it comes to this sort of debate. The lower your score the better. The last time I did it (a few weeks ago) I scored 7.

It's really fascinating learning color theory and understanding how different people perceive color. When I was majoring in Interior Design, that was one of the things we discussed, and how some colors that look great to one person will look awful to another, and how lighting alters color. It's really cool, and definitely a mindfuck.

I scored a perfect 0 on your test, and all I can see is white/gold for the dress. Can't even trick me eyes into seeing blue/black by depriving them of light for awhile.
