    speaker issue

I have a feeling it's not good news but wanting some feedback. I have a set of Klipsch 2.1 speakers hooked to my PC. I've noticed if the wire going from the main speaker to my pc got bumped, i'd get horrible feedback to it. Thought it was just maybe not fully seated in the pc, but I found that even unplugged from my pc, if the wire near the connector gets moved in any way, it would generate horrible feedback. I'm assuming a wire is broken inside, and of course the cord is fixed to the speaker. Am i boned?

You wire and even the connectors that go on the end are replaceable.

The wire is permanently fixed to the speaker and I'm horrible at soldering.

Speaker wire is just copper wire. It would look ugly, but simple electrical tape would be a workable solution.

Cut out the bad part of the wire, strip the wires, wind them together, electrical tape them together, done.

    Ghetto but should work.

Is there a way to find out where the break is in the wire, assuming that's it? I'm suspecting it's right at the connector.

Wiggle a section without moving the rest and listen.

sounds like it's at the connector then. So i either replace the speakers or find someone who can splice cause my hands are unsteady as shit. I still don't know how i passed my electronics class with all the soldering i fucked up.
