It really sucks to wake up to news like this in our community. I don't think I ever butted heads with Hey nor did I really interact with her frequently but I definitely read her posts a lot and appreciated the unique perspective and insight she had on certain subjects.

Sending out a big collective BG group hug this morning. People come and go from the forums but knowing they can never come back hurts.

She worked very hard to spread knowledge and understanding of many of the issues that she faced, along with so many others in the world. I learned a lot from her posts. I feel very sad.

I don't think she went to 4chan for help, i believe she was active in the community. Someone posted a link to that thread the comment was taken from which was about the emulator she worked on. It's either in the trans thread or in spam, idr. I also tried not to read much of it cuz 4chan.

I honestly struggle to find words in these situations, hence why I haven't posted before now in either thread. I saw the postings first on various gaming subreddits, and was saddened to learn she was yet another victim of the hardships transpeople face. While I didn't interact with hey much on here, I do remember her posts. Finding out they were the same person was a second punch to the gut.

I hope she is at peace now.

Yeah it was pretty disgusting. Some of the people here make me shake my head sometimes (very occasionally) but that thread was really just downright unsettling.

Suicide always fucking hurts, I'm speaking from personal experience. Only conversed with hey a couple times, but it sucks to lose a fellow BG member.

Oh, they used my screencap in that article (since her tweets are protected). I also feel strange being so close to this. I had kind of wondered how she'd done it, but I didn't want to pry into it, because it seemed so insensitive. God, you don't know how many times I jokingly say I'm going to jump off a bridge. I will probably never say that again now.

For the bunch of 4chan posts comments. It was posted in here before (the direct posts pertaining to this and the article) then the whole post was nuked. Her name was not anonymous on 4chan according to those sceens.
