A Geforce GTX 960 is only about 230$ and should push you over 8k almost certainly.

edit: be aware you will need a specialized power connector as compared to the 630. It's a 4 prong power connector. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814487091

Got a pretty decent score but still getting slow load times compared to everyone else and no idea why. :S

Just a regular HDD, I guess I should invest in an SSD.

I got a 980 last week and am only getting 10k~11k range right now. I believe it should be much higher considering what I've been seeing here. I'm assuming the reason that my score is where it is because I have a AMD FX-8120 that I got back in 2012.

I'm thinking about getting a i7-4790K, but I'd like to know if anyone has any suggestions of what to use otherwise. I guess I'm expecting I should be around 15k @ Maximum 1920 x 1080 with a better CPU.

    2. wait until end of year for skylake 6th gen intel cpus.

Curious to see if anyone's gotten a 980 ti and tried 4K gaming (only could find a 2560x1600 res benchmark) also PC specs (ram/cpu)

I would try myself but every single 980 ti in every country in any online/actual store is sold out.

Was going to maybe wait for a AMD Fury but... yeah...

    http://wccftech.com/amd-radeon-r9-fu...er-gtx-980-ti/
    /ouch AMD

Even if its still under fine tuning, if its already struggling to keep up... ;/

Thanks for that info, epic struggle spam refreshing for the EVGA edition dual cooler 980 ti so I can have a nice video card for 4K ffxiv gaming before 3.0 hits >.>

I have sort of similar specs as you, except my CPU is at 4.4Ghz (3770K), and I'll be oc'ing the video card also to about what you have. Nice to see it can Average about 50fps at 4K res. (although I'm goin single card myself, not THAT rich atm for 2! besides need to buy a 4K monitor too sometime))

He mentioned its only single card benchmarks (which is what I was looking for, so I think thats why he did it i think).

Hopefully after the nutroll to actually get my order "verified" by EVGA, I'll have a 980 ti for 3.0

to bad i bought my 980 less than a month ago. If anything I'd just go SLI 980 SC 2.0

I don't like SLI myself, other than the game playing requiring a sli profile to make use of it, many japanese hentai games only use a single video card *cough* erm anyway

    Video of a 980 ti / 980 ti OC vs 980 SLI

at around 0:48 the 980 Ti OC is as fast as 980 Sli (and at times faster)
Since its a early video, most likely using a reference card that can't be OC as much as a custom card which can go several hundred Mhz over reference cards from various benchmark review sites.

    AMD rumor R300 prices;
    http://wccftech.com/amd-radeon-300-s...ed-aggressive/

If the prices are going to be what is shown, 390X is likely to be a much better card for price per fps/pixel/w/e you're looking for.
