Youtube HD videos in html5 use 60-80 CPU resources

I can play the videos fine, but they use so much resources it's crazy. 1080p videos should NOT be taking up to 80% CPU usage. I have an intel i5 using firefox. Back when the videos were using flash, the CPU usage at 1080p was not noticable.

Try it in Chrome and see if it happens. Sometimes Firefox is messy with youtube, especially depending on some plugins/addons you use.

Chrome CPU load for the same video at 1080p = 14%

Yah, you've got some sort of conflict when it is trying to load that video in Firefox. You probably have a plug in or add-on that is increasing the work, or maybe your firefox/adobe installation is a little screwy. I've seen that before. I love firefox because of the add-ons, but sometimes it has drawbacks as a freeware.

I've never actually found a solution to that particular problem. You could try unloading plugins and add-ons and see if you can find the culprit.
