Raider Expectations:

• Our words are: "Stay humble. Stay hungry." We're looking for players who embody these qualities and in tandem.
• You will be expected to play exceptionally well in a progression environment, where the mechanics of an encounter are unknown - situational awareness, making solid improvisational choices, learning/adapting between attempts, quickly mapping out a plan for your job/role, etc. Your performance must be on par if not better with the top level talent playing your job.
• You are expected to have extensive knowledge of your class. Having a solid grasp of “best in slot” items, rotations (if applicable), command of your complete toolkit, and theorycrafting for your primary job is the bare minimum we are looking for. Players who are flexible within their mastered roles are also a huge asset. Being able to quickly learn and play another job at an extremely high level is something we'll take into account.
• You need to have experience playing your job. Having sustained success with your character showcases the ability to adapt to change and perform well under any circumstance.
• End-game FFXIV experience will help your application, but is not required. Progression raiding experience in another game or competitive gaming experience is a plus.
• With current content on farm for several months, you should have “best in slot” gear (or very close to it). We are looking for people who can immediately contribute and be competitive in raids. Without gear, this will not be possible.
• You must be able to take criticism well.
• You must have Teamspeak, a working microphone, and be able to use it.

Raid Team Requirements / General Information:

Group 1:

The goal for this group is to field top-level talent that exemplifies our FC's core values with a high level of availability to tackle a new content release.

• You must be willing to take a week off for progression raiding with the release of an end-game content patch.
• Raids will continue the following week every day, but at reduced hours based on the needs of our members.
• You must be willing to sit if a specific raid make-up is optimal for an encounter. There are no exceptions to this. On the flip side, you will be expected to be ready to contribute to the raid at a moment’s notice if needed.
• You must be willing to participate in events that could fall outside of mandatory times, which could include assisting other FC group's clears by playing an alt, time attack/speed runs, and selling/merc'ing runs.

Group 2:

The goal for this group is to field top-level talent that exemplifies our FC's core values, but unable to commit to as rigorous of a raid schedule as Group 1.

• You must be willing to take a couple days off for progression raiding with the release of an end-game content patch.
• Raids will continue the following week at reduced hours based on the needs of our members.
• Members of this group will be utilized for emergency substitutions for Group 1 during progression. A single substitution could result in postponing the entire group's progression raid(s). You must be willing to sacrifice personal progression for the success of the FC. These type of substitutions will only be made during progression.
• You must be willing to participate in events that could fall outside of mandatory times, which could include assisting other FC group's clears by playing an alt, time attack/speed runs, and selling/merc'ing runs.

Group 3:

We are considering forming a medium-core group, but currently lack the personnel to do so. Many have expressed interest in joining, but are unable to commit to G1/G2's scheduling. If you are interested in this, please let us know so we can contact you once we begin to build the group out.

Our application can be found here: http://bluegarter.guildwork.com/recruitment. Take the time and effort to submit a quality application. This will be your first impression to the Free Company and a large factor on whether or not you are accepted for a trial with the FC.

Thank you for your time and consideration. We look forward to your application and possibly raiding alongside you in Heavensward and beyond. Good luck!
