May Update files zipped

Thanks for the download Saint Raithen. 434 files still to download somehow after installing it, says 15 minutes. A whole lot better than the 3+ hours it was creeping up to for 2000 files.

@Raithen what is your drop box address, that mega download seems to stick at 3/4s loaded for me some reason.

NVMD i jsut disabled all my firefox addons and it loaded properly now.

Open the zip folder in one window, head into the FFXI folder so you can see ROM0, ROM1, ROM2.. etc.
Go into your Hard Drive in a second window, go to Program Files, Playonline, Square Enix, FFXI, and you should see a similar folder structure.
Highlight everything in the zip file, and drag onto an empty space on the other window.
Give it a minute or two to move the files over.
Open POL, have drastically reduced download times.

Trying this method as my time remaining on the download was still at 3 hours and 45 minutes (and getting higher)

I think I did everything correctly. Is it normal for it to the Check Files for the entire FFXI game? Or did I possibly fuck something up?

thats normal iirc. after that your update will probably be far fewer files.

Thank you guys. Did this and went from 59minutes and #idontevenknow files to download down to 35 files and 48minutes of download.
how the hell has a music file taken 3 minutes to get 25% downloaded?!
