While I agree with you on the FFVII announcement, SE has been on a roll of doing the "right thing" recently.

1.) New console Star Ocean
2.) PC ports
3.) Patching Type-0
4.) Patching FFXV demo
5.) Being extremely open with FFXV changes.

Having said that, I'm sure to be disappointed. I mean it is SE after all.

If it is a Chrono Trigger game it's going to be some nebulously tangentially related Chrono universe game that isn't a sequel. And it will also be only for mobile phones as well as the Atari Jaguar (because SE believes they are the platforms of the future).

If somehow, miraculously, it's for an actual console even then Im skeptical it could be any good coming from the present day SE. Even Chrono Cross was kind of mehhh. My cynicism is firing on all cylinders.

I fully expect there to be nothing chrono related at e3, with the explanation for the music in the trailer being some ignorant addition by a new marketing intern.
