Yes, but remember, this is being introduced to an audience that has many who not only never played WoW, but actively crusaded against it. This is new tech to those people, and new tech takes time to adjust to.

I think most of the people who "actively crusaded against" WoW were already familiar with a superior looting system from over a decade ago.

Do you really need to? I mean, just expect that if they can Need, they're going to. Unless they're your friends, why would they Greed instead of Need?

When it comes to FFXIV, yeah. Plenty of other JP MMOs I've played (and currently play) has no issue doing this.

Oh. Well, yeah, that much I 580% agree with. I'm also not crazy about having all the lots concealed until the item drops as is done now.

Usually people actually use the Greed function for Greed; I'm referring primarily to DR Expert/towers. But sometimes you have the people that Need everything, even if it's just for desynth/seals.

If you're going to bother with telling me that someone cast a lot, just tell me what type of lot they cast. That's all I'm asking.

You will, this was in the preliminary notes.

You won't see what they rolled until everyone rolls, but you'll see who rolled so far.

Also more importantly... you can hit pass even after hitting need/greed now. Lost count of the times I rolled on something I didn't want to roll on (namely because that menu was shit on a controller, which they also fixed...) and was unable to pass on it without just straight up leaving the instance (and not always possible).
