Is anyone else having problems synchronizing settings/favourites across their systems? I run windows 10 on my laptop, my desktop and my mobile phone with the synchronization turned on (though it didn't exactly work perfectly as far as my Edge bookmarks were concerned), but after reinstalling it on my desktop computer, I'm having massive issues getting anything at all to synchronize.

When I setup my laptop about a month ago, I did a clean install and had pretty much everything on there the first time I started it, but my desktop did not even recognize my user picture, let alone keyboard layout/bookmarks.

Single best reason to update to 1607 / Anniversary Update: They finally got rid of that stupid beach cave.

So is this upgrade still available? I mean i know it ended on July 29, but friend said he updated his W7 PC with a USB stick he made months ago and he was able to update to W10 and it still says activated

They left registration available after the date, and last I checked/heard it hadn't been shut off yet.

Ya, huge IT magazine around here had an article about it, MS just silently let the activation method run past the deadline. Even installing Win10 with a Win7/8/8.1 key still works.
No one knows when MS might flip the switch. But since they'd want EVERYONE to use Win10 I guess it won't happen that early.
