I'd maybe say STR+DEX or STR+VIT in case he ever changes his mind- that way the 2nd sword will at least maintain a situational use.

    Great thank you both

edit: Is Chant not a super-ws that warrants the WoE version at least? or not worth it unless i have almace?

Chant du Cygne is an absolutely fantastic weaponskill, but Almace is also reliant on its ODD to make it superb. Dual STR swords and Requiescat will be fine if you don't plan on taking BLU seriously.

Also worth noting that you can make an Almace faster than you can make a WoE weapon. 3-5 days if you're dedicated.

Faster than a STR magian too, I'd wager.

Honestly? Yes. Making an Almace and a STR sword would be the fastest route, probably even faster than making a DEX or VIT sword to go with the STR sword.

STR and DEX, yes- but unless you are horribly unlucky with weather, there is no way you can make an Almace faster than a VIT (or AGI) sword.

I can see it being faster than Vit, but I was really unlucky with weather and had to kill during day. Not that that took very long although I had some help with Rafflesia.

  10. #11150

VIT will flat out take longer because of the Cactuars.

I did Leeches > Sea Monks > Any Monster > Aquans pretty much in a straight shot
Beasts > Flans 1 firesday each, no whisker
Vermin > Manticore > Birds 1 firesday each, whisker

    Edit: 7h total, maybe

sorry im full of questions but blu is a bit daunting coming from all melee jobs.

Is this http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/wiki/Bl...e_Cleave_Guide cleave guide pretty solid? any spells i should/shouldnt use in there?

I prefer an evasion set rather than a PDT set when I do CW burning, although both work fine. What I do is, gather them all up then flashga > CA/efflux Whirl of rage > sleep > CW and they are dead. This is with Blinding horn, Ultimate and Lion.

  13. #11153

You can also alternate with Unbridled>Thunderbolt as well with efflux down

And honestly, you can pretty much dream flower and not get interrupted at all, even on DC-EM in Heroes zones. I literally just did my str sword a few days ago and was pretty lazy while whiskering but I was never interrupted.

Did they finally fix tourbillion/vapor spray/hecatomb wave, etc. magic accuracy, or they still leaving that shit as broken and ignoring it for yet another patch? It's been broken for at least two patches, and wasn't mentioned in the patch notes, but they could have ninja fixed it.
