That might be correct, but we will never going to break 900+ on T stuff with Asuran Claws that way. At the moment we can just pray that there's still a hidden effect or something. I really expected something else from a new 6hit spell, seriously. At that rate I will just stick with the Big 3.

From my testing it seems to be Slashing, but need to do Limbus or Temperance to be sure

CA Asuran Claws did 650 damage on colibri

If the effectiveness only comes on full moon. This is really a 'meh' damage spell

Anyone done any testing on this? I've always done Savage to Disseverment for self skillchain, but if the skillchain resistance is significantly lower, perhaps it's worth to actually make light with cannonball now?

Thought of a few possible modifiers for Asuran Claws..

Evasion? (Feather Barrier go?)
VIT? (Since most "Hand-to-Hand" WS seem to have some VIT mod..)
Possible large damage increase @300TP despite description?
Low HP?

Yesterday during Full moon , I tried Asuran Claws on Gigantoburgard in Misareaux...

Sure this mob is too weak but :

In 98% full moon my best was : 1003 Dmg with CA
Without CA it was 500-900 , Tried with ATT+ gear ( Assault jerkin , Bonus att, tabin bracer+1 etc...) and with Acc set ( Optical , Sh , Bonus acc....) It seems to be better with much acc but not really significant.
With Hysteric barrage (h2h like asuran claws) I made 1050-1180 dmg without ca or any special gear
But I found this spell better during full moon with this 1003 dmg , coz Tuesday my best was 900 with CA et acc set

I hope SE will do something and someone will find the real modifiers

The reason you did 1003 on bugard was beast spell > lizard. Maybe this spell is meant for use against lizard type of mob. Put on the Magus Keffiyeh and some monster correlation merits :D

yea That's why , But I did 1003 only during Full moon and at night , so it 's possible that moon have an effect on this spell, or that was a random.


But I have no merit on monster correlation... I find that not really significant...maybe I'm wrong lol

Monster corrolation only helps with resist rates, not raw damage last i remember.

Perhaps the nightime/daytime is a factor.... the mobs are werewolves. Or perhaps a combination of night/day and moonphase like the above poster suggested.
