So the people who made City of Heroes get to make a super hero game that is official. Big fucking deal. CoH is already a cool game and you can make characters that look like your favorite super heroes already due to its insane character creation. This is just Marvel trying to get in on the money. Well hopefully this has better graphics.

You could make a really fucking close replica already with that same name in City of Heroes already lol. Well you would start out weak but according to how you chose your powers you could make a relatively good copy of the Hal Jordan Green Lantern. You could name him "Hal Jordan" too if it wasn't already taken. I do not see how this game would stop you from doing the same thing. There were Sentinels, X-men, Superman, Batman, etc... copycats all over when I started CoH at launch. The Sentinels talking shit to Mutants in RP was awesome haha.

my only problum with a superhero MMO is weapon and armor upgrades just don't fit. I know they did the modfier tokens in CoH, but it was really pretty lame to me in comparison to armor.

I agree somewhat, superheroes like Spiderman, Iron Man, and Batman for example have gotten new costumes/armor that enchanced their ability to fight. That should have been implemented in City of Heroes in addition to the tokens (which some are awesome).

Considering the expansive list of creations by Marvel and DC Comics, is there really any such thing as an "original" idea for a superhero anymore? Even if you came up with something so unheard of that it just had to be original, there are probably at least two superheroes under the belt of one or the other of those two companies who shares that superpower. All you can really do anymore is combine your favorites to make something decent.

1. Superhuman speed and agility. And by speed I don't mean Flash-like. I just mean above normal human standards.
2. Eagle eye sight. Basically, just the ability to aim a shot with 100% precision. Not actually being able to "zoom" in on something, per se.
3. Energy arrows. Create arrows out of energy, to obviously be shot from a bow.
4. Healing factor. Why? Because it's cool...

Heroes fitting this description based on the powers listed?

Hawkeye (1 & 2)
Green Arrow (1, 2 & 3)
Wolverine (1 & 4)
Sabertooth (1 & 4)

God knows there are more, but you get the picture...

(P.S. - I haven't read comics in a long ass time, so I might be a little off on the exact abilities of the heroes I listed for reference. Don't hurt me, please :x)

I9 for CoH is promising some kind of invention system where by you can craft enhancements and costume options for you character.
