Yeah I got my ticket after seeing Death Note 1 in theaters last month. Who cares if it's not the best movie? It's anime in a US theater, and that's a good precedent.

[spoiler:2eu3xnyg]Well, it was never really explained why Ichigo was on the border between being a Hollow and a Shinigami when he was in that hole (or why any soul can go either way, for that matter). Also, his inner Hollow has been shown to be a part of Zangetsu, or that they're the same person, at least twice already (during Ichigo's first fight with Kenpachi, and later when he was training with the Vizard). It seems like the difference between a Shinigami and a Hollow isn't so huge that they can't change naturally. I was under there impression that the #100+ were naturally-occuring Arrancar from before Aizen started using the Hogyokyu.[/spoiler:2eu3xnyg]

[spoiler:1wnvwdd1]It was explained why Ichigo could become a Vaizard: he was undergoing hollowification as a pure spirit before reclaiming his shinigami powers due to his soul chain being completely consumed. Plus, when the hollowification process started, the mask was forming first. Normally, the body breaks down and reforms before the mask is formed.

My guess is, if the soul chain was still intact when he reclaimed his Shinigami powers, he would not have a hollow side. But if that is not the case, then that means everyone has a Hollow side stuck in them. And if so, why haven't some, such as Hinamori, manifested?

But for the other Vaizard, it looks like Aizen is using some sort of infectious agent to force hollowification or the Hogyokyu itself was already created. I actually had to go back and read over why Urahara was exiled from Soul Society. I'd seriously like to think Aizen actually created it, but at the same time wouldn't he have been a pompous ass at the execution site and said, "I'll take back what was originally mine?"

Also, I agree on the assessment that a number of the Privarion Espada were simply Hollows who were able to break their mask without the use of the Hogyokyu. I think it was Dordonii that mentioned it while he was fighting with Ichigo that it was recent that Aizen brought the Hogyokyu into play for more powerful Arrancar, which is why he wanted to defeat Ichigo at full strength.[/spoiler:1wnvwdd1]

Chapter -99 was pretty nice.

I really wonder how Aizen is going to cover up everything that happens now because Urahara saw whats going on and Aizen cant exactly change his memory. I also doubt that this is the part where Urahara gets exiled from SS (or leaves?) because he seems to be friends with Isshin and considering Isshin isnt captain yet that will most likely be explained in a later chapter.
My guess is that Aizen und Urahra arent going to fight now and that Aizen will just retreat. Then we would have a similar situation like back then when Ichigo got his Vaizard power where one guy makes a barrier and another one fights them until they gain their powers.

Was it ever explained what Tousens current rank is? His mask looks like he got Vaizard powers already.

Nice pickup, it would make perfect sense with the Kido Corps Captain there to create the barrier & Urahara to fight them until they regained control.
But if you take a look underneath Urahara's right arm, you can see that he's got the gigai with him, so it has to play some kind of a role as well.[/spoiler:10p2iesq]

So I went to see the Memories of Nobody screening last night. If you didn't go last night, do yourself a favor and save the $10. My hatred for dubs is renewed with a vengeance. The production interviews they threw in at the beginning were mildly interesting, but nothing I didn't know about the process before. It was slightly amusing watching the voice actors recording their dubs though. My advice is just grab the sub from DB and watch it on your (friend's) big screen TV instead, or wait for the DVD release this winter which should hopefully have the subbed version. Saves gas, time, and money that I'm sure Kubo won't be seeing much of.

That Lurichiyo is annoying the hell out of me, she needs to hurry up and get killed already. I tend to skip through most of the episodes and watch the Shinigami Golden lol

Was that Aizen showing off his reiatsu in the one scene with Urahara looking a little surprised? Also, the scene where it shows Urahara's eye, then Aizen's eye... fantastic... Really giving a good look at how the 2 of them think, and possibly are... possibly showing us some more of urahara that we don't know about. That evil-ish stare... man hes awesome.

Good chapter, at least, not too bad. I'm really interested more in Aizen now then I ever was, the way Tousen dropped to his knee and apologized, Aizen is a scarey dude. Even back then he must have had immense power, he's gotta be insane now.

Looking forward to knowing why Urahara knows about hollowfication.

I love how hax Aizen is and noone really complains about it.
Blocks Tensa Zangetsu with a finger.
Dissipates a kidou from Tessai with forbidden techniques.

I think it's somewhat of a testament to how good of a story teller Kubo is when he gets down to plot and not fight fight fight.
People don't question Aizen hax and just wait for Kubo to explain the why and how.

imo most of his strength comes from his hypnosis. sure he's probably stupidly strong, but the question is how much of that is an illusion, and how much is real.
