This chapter made me realize how pissed Hitsu must be about Quincy stealing his just-perfected bankai.
Still not surprised when you consider his Shikai. There's very little difference between the motion of the weapon when he throws that at someone else and when he retrieves the weapon, so he's literally stopping his own attack each time he uses the weapon.
This chapter made me realize that I was happy not seeing Hitsugaya for like 6 months.
i didnt know who it was at first. i am okay with that
Damn Komamura, yo mamma fat.
the only times i've ever given a shit about that kid was when halibel nearly cut him in two, and when he did Momo in. other than that, I've given serious effort into forgetting about him. i had almost suceeded.
Been a while since I've been in this thread ^^. Let's see if I remember this off the top of my head. I think it was 10 years to achieve bankai and a hundred years to perfect it. The fullbringers were brought together by Kukaku when they arrived in the rukon district as well and Ginjo mentioned something about getting stronger so I think it is safe to say they are training with her.
Forgot to read the chapter yesterday.
Giving Shuhei bankai?! Awesome!!
That's one of the things I wished we could see before the manga ends. I never thought it would happen though. It almost sounded like he already has it. Could just be the translation though. It would make sense kinda. Remember it showed him and Renji going off to train at the end of the FKT arc. Mite have gotten it then.
This whole using an assuchi thing strikes me as a REALLY bad idea.
The main reason he couldn't get his bankai stolen was probably due to not having obtained his sword with one and now he's basically implanting that giant weakness in his sword. Afro dude should have just taught Ichigo how to make his own assuchi the old fashioned way just incase the Bankai hack was specific to him. Kubo probably wont have that happen but it would be so damn hilarious if it turned out his bankai was now stealable.
We don't know how long he's been in Zero Squad, but I'm going to venture a guess that the base zanpakuto/asauchi the shinigami back in SS have are a more primitive version and they're basically running off a giant stock. The process of creating these may even be doable by others. Keep in mind, though, what sent Renji and Ichigo to him was the desire to fix their swords, which is a process that's seemingly been stated as impossible. From there, consider the asauchi he chose took on the mask of White (or maybe more accurately, Shirosaki/Zangetsu), which potentially lends merit to the old theory his couldn't be stolen because of the mixed influence of hollow and shinigami.
Either way, I'm hoping we get more than just Zangetsu 3.0. With the power ups of Ichigo, Renji, Kenpachi, Shuhei, Hitsugaya, and probably others I'm forgetting more or less confirmed (Ironically fan favorites?), it's time for some fighting to start again. Though, I imagine they'll wiggle in some manner of Rukia, Chad, and Orihime getting buffed, too.
This is all conjecture:
This whole arc is allowing Kubo to reboot the characters for what is hopefully the final countdown/showdown...
Hitsugaya's zanpakto was shared with someone else in one of the AMV's. (Forgive me for not remembering which.) It could be that Hitsu is being set up to completely relearn an entirely new Bankai from the ground up. Or he could be forever useless. Another thing that hasn't been revealed is whether or not the loss of the Bankai is permanent or until the individual that stole it is dead.
Kubo is intentionally trolling by not cutting back to Kenpachi. Learning more about his blade allows Kubo to completely recreate Kenny. He may no longer be the bloodthirsty beast we have loved in the past. It's obvious he is going to be different after striking down Unohana. The question remains will he be as flippant with himself or will his sword be just as much of a masochist as he has demonstrated in the past.
Establishing new bankai's for him to draw is a great way to fill pages and drag out the series ad nauseum.
I hope I'm wrong.
Don't worry, you are.
Hitsugaya shares his bankai with no one.
I'm thinking it's to set up for the person who stole it to be taken out by Halibel when she gets freed.
