Cecil did do it better (dark wave is hax), but I can understand why Naruto did what he did. Believing in one's self can have drastic effects in all areas of a life, not simply in competition.

The real chapter's plot idea sounded a lot better than the fake spoiler.

So yeah I noticed a few stuff in today's episode:

When Naruto is shown teaching Konohamaru Rasengan, it is during the setting of Part II because they are wearing their older-age clothing, instead of their younger-age clothing. EDIT: Actually this may be a mistake on Kishi's part, because in the manga he had Konohamaru with a headband on lol, and we all know you only get those when you're a Genin, as he was drawn as an Academy Student when Naruto was teaching him it in the manga. Anyways I guess the Anime got it right, I'm sure Kishi had some input in making them correct it .




Konohamaru's Rasengan is bigger than it was in the manga when he first uses it against Naraka Path.

There are missiles blowing up a building before Konohamaru saves an old woman even though the only Pain body to use missiles (Asura Path), has been Incapacitated by Kakashi (at this point of the anime atleast).


Naraka Path's - King of Hell Dojutsu-Genjutsu thing ripped out people's tounges instead of souls, but then I read that there's a japanese myth for children that tells them if you lie, a monster will pop up and pull out your tounge. Naraka's Kingg of Hell only killed people who lied so yeah . BUT WAIT, when Nagato uses his Outer Path Revival Jutsu, does he send out a bunch of tounges to revive people? or a bunch of souls lol? Starting to get confusing here...

I'm just glad that is finally over with so we can get back to Naruto showing up in sage mode soon. Konohamaru had his 5 seconds of fame and will vanish back into the side characters category and we won't see him for a few years most likely.

Konohamaru was still pretty boss though, shows Naruto is rubbing off on him, and watching him do the Rasengan animated is nice.

But yea thankfully there's not too many episodes left till Pimp Coat Naruto strolls in.

It's such a shame. Naruto is much like Star Wars in it's penchant for rich and interesting secondary characters that come and go far too quickly.

Before actually reading the chapter and instead looking to the spoilers, I actually was pretty horrified - thought this chapter would top the last one as the worst one yet. After reading the chapter though, I actually didn't think it was too bad.

Maybe I should lower my expectations for Naruto, might make the story seem incredible when it actually starts getting good with 9tails next week.

I just don't set any expectations at all. Seems to work pretty nicely with most things. Can't wait for the next few episodes to finish. Going to take me like a week straight to marathon naruto from start to post-pain. My pure marathon of awesomeness might get ruined by me getting a job though.

Looks like it was either 155 or 156. Oldest "recent" episode I have is 156, but 155 is probably a recap episode or something that I didn't feel like downloading. I can't remember exactly.

I get all of mine from: http://www.horriblesubs.org/ I think they just take them directly from Crunchyroll, which is good enough for me.

I believe the most recent stretch of non-filler episodes starts with 152 (Sasuke and co. bringing the Hachibi back to Akatsuki and Naruto finding out about Jiraiya). I've been downloading from http://www.takafansubs.com/ for a while. Quality is excellent and they're semi-quick about releases, though they're never the first out.
