    Final Fantasy 12 auto-experience problems

So I popped Neg in the Still shrine of miriam to go for auto experience. I set up my gambets so that they wouldn't attack the main NM and only kill the spawns.

I had this running in the background for 7 hours, getting chain 999 and there was no problem.

I turned off my TV to go to sleep, when i turned it on in the morning my characters had killed the main NM.

Why did this happen? they hadn't touched him for over 7 hours, and my gambits were setup to avoid him as much as possible.

any ideas? I don't have a 4th person in my party (who tend to act on their own) and again my gambits were setup to only attack the spawns (Foe:HP<3000)

    :'(

Does Negalmuur or his spawns or any of the mobs in the area have any special abilities?

I read that if u do a foe:HP>/=5000...haste it'll spawn minions faster if you haven't done that.

yes, one move that drains all mp, doom, confuse etc.

I hasted him once I got to lvl 50+ so that the characters would kill faster (and not die because of two many spawns).

But I still haven't figured out why sometimes they kill him.

The only thing I can think of is your party is killing the ghasts quick enough to attack the NM, also did you try setting the battle speed to max?

Confuse might have an effect on this. I'm not sure how but it could.

The only other thing I can think of is that one character's gambits are screwed up. I'd triple check to make sure each character is running the exact same gambits, and not following someone else's lead.

Kanetaru - according to gambits his party can't attack the NM.

I think this might be the problem... in case it makes sense that it happens sometimes and not others. Thanks for the tip I guess just have to hope esuna takes off confuse before they get Neg below 3000hps

Edit: oh and I got my gambits from the gamefaq guide's page, triple checked that they are layed out as instructed.

For one reason or another he lost health dunno. I also cased haste on him at the beginning and let it run for a few hours but it always seems he will get killed at one point or another its luck i guess

I'd say put the Esuna gambit at the top so it goes off first.
