    Low Level Blue mage weapon

I was wondering which would be better,

    Republic Sword x2 (D: 21 Delay: 213 Acc +3, Attack+4, In areas outside nations control HP +6 MP +6)

    or

Holy Sword+1 main hand Republic Sword sub

Holysword+1 (DMG:23 Delay 219 Additional Effect: Light dmg)

They both look pretty fair in comparison to each other i'm just not sure which would actually be the best mathematically

Use the ones with acc bonuses, helps you land spells while still using rice dumplings at those levels.

EDIT: Best path of swords starting at 20 is probably like this:

    18: Flamesword
    24: Nadrs
    30: Centurion's sword
    34: Republic sword
    40: Combat caster's scimitar
    43: Combat caster's scimitar +2
50: Immortal's scimitar (good luck getting one of these, lol)
    55: Musketeer commander's falchion
    65: Ifrit's blade
    72: Martial Anelace
    73: Perdu hanger

If you're subbing /nin for solo, you may want a higher base dmg sword for mainhand while leveling, but I think those above are the best as far as stand alone swords.

Martial anelace is crap and should never be touched.

    Correct BLU Sword progression is:

    1: Wax Sword +1
    7: Sapara +1
    10: Royal Archer's Sword
    13: Scimitar +1
    15: Kingdom Sword
    18: Flame Sword
    24: Nadrs
    27: Gladiator
    28: Mithran Scimitar
    30: Centurion's Sword
    34: Republic Sword
    40: Combat Caster's Scimitar
    43: Combat Caster's Scimitar +2
    55: Muskateer Commander's Falchion
    60: Leech Scimitar
    65: Ifrit's Blade
    69: Wing Sword +1
    72: Dissector
    73: Perdu Hanger

    lol

At 72 you are doing savage blade -> disseverment SC, martial anelace will add in the range of 100-200dmg to savage blade, with +3 base dmg and TP bonus. Dissector's 3% increase in critical hit rate (while dual-wielding) cannot make up that damage difference, do the math. Kind of a mute point now with perdu hanger available at 73, but seriously, dissector blows.

Dosen't add that much damage, maybe 50 - 100 max. I tried it, I parsed higher with Dissector. The crits gained out parse that minor boost to a weapon skill you do every 2 minutes with no problem, even when dual wielding. Been there, tried it, Dissector is better.

Doesn't Crit carry on to spells i thought?

No it does not, unfortunately. Physical spells that have crit modifiers in their descriptors can crit with use of CA. SA can make any physical spell crit. Cannonball for some weird reason can crit on normal casts.

Isn't Cannonball the only spell with Defense as mod as well?

    While on topic, Whats better
    Savage > cannonball for light
    Savage > disseverment for distortion
vorpal > disservement for pure dmg

merit situation btw (i'm getting ahead of myself i know ;3)

I generally do Savage -> Diss, because I'm usually meriting on Colibri and the distortion gets un-resisted more often.

Savage -> Cannonball will always do the least damage out of your options.

I can't recall, but does Vorpal -> Diss even make a SC?

So only Accuracy aside from the obvious stats like STR DEX VIT etc. Carry over to spells?

    *are useful to spells.

The attk carries over, but BLU spells don't use Attk rating.

Crit may over, but BLU spells don't crit unless forced, so it's moot.
(Dissector might affect cannonball, I suppose.)

Leech Scimitar doesn't drain MP from mobs that you can't aspir, right?
