No, you're just lucky in a lucky way. Most people see the results that Lhexh has posted. We're at over 100 QQTH kills and 0 drops.Originally Posted by Vishnevskiy

Btw we got our first Macha on like the 20th run and then second one on 21th and 3rd one on 24th
Golden rule:
If you want something to drop you'll get everything else about 500 times before seeing what you need.
Then it rained Bodb Crowns for 40 days and 40 nights.Originally Posted by Not Kuno

I support the Golden Rule. When we got Macha Coat yesterday, the 2 people who were 2/3 were absent, and one other person who really wanted chose a different search comment since they didn't think it would drop, lol. The last person got it uncontestedOriginally Posted by Neosutra

Because if something drops for somebody who really need it, nobody will ever remember or bother to mention it cause it's normal..![]()
maybe the trick to getting the correct piece is have the guy who need something dc before boss dead
it will drop and ask him relog in to roll
j/k
At least my group isn't the only one that feels like Salvage goes out of it's way to dick them on the drops they actually need.
..and still waiting for Mach's Coat after way too many runs.
After waiting for forever, we finally get a Macha drop and now LBC is deciding "HAHA NO MORE ROBES" so... yeah I agree that Salvage almost seems to have a mind of its own.
After doing Arrapago Remnants yesterday, I have a few questions, mostly involving the first floor. I read through a lot of this thread and there were a few posts about what to farm on the first floor for cells, but it seemed like everyone wasn't sure what to farm. I didn't get through all 20something pages because it took me forever to read the first 10. Does anyone have any tips on what is the best thing to farm on the first floor for cells and when to go up? It seems like yesterday we spent too much time on the first floor. Normally, we go with something like MNK MNK BRD RDM WHM THF + RDM BLM BLM WAR.
People said ES+Gravity makes the QQTH a lot easier, that would mean a RDM or BLM has to have SJ, abilities, and magic by the 3rd floor. So what priority do you do on SJ/magic/abilities cells? Yesterday we had a pretty bad first run. On the 2nd floor someone popped Princess Pudding when we only had 1 BLM and we wiped to that and it wasted a lot of time. Could have probably killed it with melee but it was taking 10 years. Oh yeah, a side note regarding that - the OP says the Socket is SE and the Slot is SW, but we found the Slot in the SE. Killed the Astrologer, QQTH, then the next QQTH.
We were giving magic to all the mages and by the time we got up to the 5th floor that has the Chariot on it, the MNK's didn't even have magic. I think we needed to kill those 2 Lamia in that room before the first QQTH for more magic. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
Not being a dick:
Use this:
http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/Arrapago_Remnants
It states where mobs are on each floor, and what drops what. Nobody can tell you exactly what to farm because sometimes you can kill 10 mobs that drop magic cells and get two, while other times you go 10/10. Target whatever mobs you need for cells, skip the rest. Completely static routes won't ever go completely as planned.
So I was just going through the number of mobs they killed and type on the 3 QQTHs pops and one no pop.
MOB POP POP POP NO
Archaic_Chariot 1 1 1 1
Archaic_Gear 18 18 18 18
Archaic_Gears 6 6 6 6
Archaic_Rampart 8 8 8 8
Demonic_Pugil 1 0 1 1
Devil_Manta 2 3 2 3
Draugar's_Wyvern 4 3 3 3
Gespenst 3 3 3 3
Lamia_Dancer 2 2 2 0
Lamia_Dartist 3 3 3 3
Lamia_Fatedealer 3 3 3 1
Lamia_Graverobber 2 2 2 2
Lamia's_Elemental 2 2 1 0
Merrow_Chantress 3 3 3 3
Merrow_icedancer 0 0 0 1
Merrow_Kabukidancer 1 0 1 1
Merrow_Shadowdancer 1 1 0 3
Nipper 4 4 4 4
Orobon 0 1 0 0
Psycheflayer 3 3 3 3
Qiqirn_Astrologer 1 2 2 2
Qiqirn_Treasure_Hunter 4 4 4 2
Qutrub 32 32 32 19
Reserve_Draugar 17 13 13 27
Sabotender_Maestro 1 1 1 1
Seasonal_Treant 1 2 1 2
So a couple things stand out. 32 quatrubs could be it. They killed all the lamia on the first floor on the pops and did not on the failure. could be it.
one question
Has anyone killed all the lamia on the first floor, then done all the arc. machines? could be worth testing
The only first floor difference they used on the no pop was that they cleared the Southeast wing instead of one of the Southwest wing, evident by what mobs they killed. They didn't kill all the Lamia on 1F on any of their pops. It seems like an extremely odd condition, though, for it to have something to do with what mob(s) you kill on 1F, but there really is no other notable difference...Originally Posted by Wizrow
Edit: It seems they also used a different port up the last time: SE rather than their usual NW(?), and they did kill mobs on 2F (At least a Shadowdancer).
That clears it up if they're killing stuff on the second floor, I was under the impression they were going straight at QQA.
An interesting pop condition indeed...
Willing to bet that the condition is one of these:
- Clear 1st Floor NW and SW wings of all mobs and go South on the 3rd Floor
OR clear 1st Floor NE and SE wings of all mobs and go North on the 3rd Floor
- Same as above but also kill all 8 Archaic Ramparts plus any reinforcements
- Same as above but also kill all other Archaic mobs in the zone
- Some mix of all that other crap plus some combination of Qiqirns (fewest was 3)
Need to convince my group to go to Arrapago and test all three but would probably take a bit since we're really pushing for Silver Sea 35s
silversea 35 prolly drops the least and too much effort needed
tell them go arrapago and tell them theres 6 NMs which drops alot of 35s!
dont tell them drop rate also shit as hell though
seduce them to go try arrapago gogo~![]()
Eh, I dunno about you but I can kill 4 NMs in a single run that drop lv35s, with a few minutes to spare for the Slot pop since it only takes 3min to kill, max. 5 NMs if we're lucky or have lots of DD and skip the slot. I've always heard Silver Seas has the higher drop rates, and I know they're at least higher than QQTH (QQA from poster results too). And from my personal results, Silver Seas has higher drop rates than Arrapago's chariot. -_- Fucking chariot, lol.Originally Posted by Arthars
