Thanks a lot Elmer, awesome read. Now, any idea why are they called Hydra corps?

I'm guessing it's symbolizing the alliance. Hydra, a many headed beast; the alliance, a multinational force.Originally Posted by Tajin

It made the Sandy timeline alot more clear for me..
I like how it foreshadows alot for WotG, like the Royal Knights helping out Tarus in the fort (theres a screenshot on WotG page that seems to be this scene) and the Tonberry assassinator...
btw.. some of your date formatting is screwed up.. where u get running numbers in front of the date... it starts from
857 – Ferry service between Selbina and Mhaura is established.
8.858 – The Shadow Lord’s Army clashes with the Orcish Empire in the Northlands.
9.858...
All hail San d'Oria (*'-')/
This is a very interesting read, Elmer. Thank you for posting this.
Curious, is there or are there any books or related material detailing Bastok and Windurst's history, or Zilart and Kuluu, or Aht Urghan empires? It would give a rather complete picture to Vana'diel's history.
Very nice :D SanDOreo poweh / Im assuming that boy in the WoG trailer then, is Rochefogne? Hed be 12 years old in 862 (when the trailer takes place)
I think those are supposed to be months maybe probably.Originally Posted by Spira

Agreed, Makes me swell with pride knowing that for a time Windurst had those uppity long ears under their thumb. Another great read, and useful ammo for schooling windy haters on how things really went down.Originally Posted by Izzy

I wonder if some of the people who went missing during that timeline will be involved in the Wings of the Goddess story line. Who is to say that during the Crystal War and now are the only times that Atmos appeared. Maybe they didn't die, but got pulled into another time.

cute lolIn addition, he brought about a new riding seat called a “saddle,” which allows people to travel long distances on a Chocobo. Building upon that idea, he also developed a special harness he could attach to himself so he could take TaruTaru guests on sightseeing tours.
Wow, thanks a lot. Just what is needed to refresh memories before WotG is released, which will surely draw heavily on many of these details. Will you be doing timelines for the other two nations also or is it just the one?
So Vrtra was trapped in 831.
The expansion takes place in 862.
Can I get like. One of Ranperre's guards by the door.
Trade him a Cloud Evoker-esque item that grants you access to within.
18-man Ouryu-like BC vs. a slightly weaker Vrtra (less HP, same stats, no pops, just summons).
AFK, jerkin.
wow windurst raped.
Shouldn't these be Kam'lanaut and not Eld'narche?Originally Posted by Elmer the Pointy
There are two more time limes in the book, one for Bastok, and one for Windurst. Bastok's begins in 3000 B.C.E. with the remnants of the oldest known Hume settlement in Dangruf Wadi. Windurst's begins in 01 C.E. with the star of Gordeus going supernova, marking the start of the Crystal Era (C.E.)Originally Posted by Aselin

methinks theres a confusion with the npcs.
you learn later in RZ missions that Eald'narche is the true power in jeuno.

Well this is suppoused to be written by historians correct? Wouldn't you find it odd if it was the duke's kid brother doing all the work? Especially when you think about RoZ. If so why didn't just Eld'narche drop the charade and take direct control instead of using his brother as a puppet?
