That event happened over 400 years before the age adventurer and crystal war era, WotG focus on the crystal war.Originally Posted by Gwynplaine
I'd imagine that's a picture of a pre-ToAU Zazarg and his musketeer unit. Though he's not wearing Koenig Body like he did on the Flashback CS in the "Fist of the People"
The construction was 420+ years ago, yes, but Gwyn's just guessing it's the same fort.Originally Posted by Zilong
Regarding the change of armo(u)r, didn't we conclude that Zazarg's flashback was not too long before Windy opened Mhaura's port to Aht Urhgan? I forgot how long, though. I don't remember if they mention it in the quest.
Yeah, according to the Antican section, Triarius V-VIII participated in the war.but I'd imagine a part of their force made it to Quon with the aid of other beastmen
Ah, nice job Elmer! You are becoming extremely quick.
Doubt it, given this bit:Originally Posted by Gwynplaine

Yeah I'm curious as to what that building actually is, why it's not there anymore, and where "bastok valley" is referring to.
Zazarg left Bastok at the end of crystal war due to him not wanting to get with the whole political crap after the war was over, and basically left the shady politician above him with some potential scandal-bait with him leaving with no reason.Originally Posted by Sagacious Sundi
And IIRC, he used the tenshodo's warp-you-to-leypoint option, hence the reason you met him in leypoint on the quest, as that place is a reminder of his entry to the Near East.
Later on though, the musketeers under his command stowed away in a ship, possibly from mhaura, but Zazarg has been part of the mercenary force for a good while by then.
Bastok Valley seems to be the valley where Bastok was built at. Bastok has mountains surronding every side of it, except the part that's facing the sea.
And I don't think Zazarg left instantly after the war, but I'm unsure. I need to watch the cutscene again I guess.
the valley theyre talking about might be drachenfall? if thats the right name. place with thf af gob fight, CN map quest stone. the only problem with that is theyd have to go thru dangruf wardi to get there.
tho who knows how much the exact layout of gustaburg has changed since then.
There's not really any ambiguity about where Bastok Valley is. Fort Bastok was in the valley; the fort became Metalworks; Bastok surrounds Metalworks; Bastok Valley is the area in which Bastok sits.
Makes sense. I guess that building is just another one of the different strategic structures that seem to be in the older zones.
nice stuff again..
i like the Bastok timeline way more than Sandy lol..
it really helps alot as reading material before WotG..
anyway.. you wrote this..
650 – The Iron Musketeers are established under the Department of Industry, with ????Schutz inducted as its first commander
This guy is probably the same Schultz from Schultz Strategems, so you'll have an official name translation of him
Schultz (????) is a different guyOriginally Posted by Spira
ah ok..
lol hes not mentioned at all here tho? Usually they like to tie up references from the book to the game.. like Ranperre for Dragon Chronicles.. and Miratete (tho i've not seen the Windurst timeline thing yet)?..
then again they were all political leaders, this guy is just a general.
He has a short profile in another section as one of Bastok's heroes, and is featured in the Second Battle of Konschtat section.

I wonder if that refers to the Zilartian machine (Strange Apparatus) found in that area.
Probably not, no one in the game seems to know about them. I would guess they meant the hallways that you can find in a few places that are totally out of character with the rest of the zone.Originally Posted by Zak
