not that i know of, nor does it affect breath attacks. only magical attacks, such as eyes on me or gob bomb i believe.
o ok tyvm
Physical damage spells no, magical spells yes (Only mod for breath attacks is current HP, ele staves help resists though).
not entirely true. most breath spells are calculated as currentHP*SpellHPMod+currentLVL*SpellLVLMod with the mods varying depending on the spell. an example would be frost breath where SpellHPMod is 1/3 and SpellLVLMod is .625. some spells like fire breath have SpellLVLMod=0, thus HP is the only controlling factor. as stated though, staves, magic accuracy, and possibly a stat (if i had to purely guess at it i'd say int, but no basis for that in any fact.) affect accuracy, but not the maximum damage. MAB doesn't have any affect on them though.Originally Posted by Ruth
Interestingly enough, Wyvern Breaths too are affected only by max HP, however...when 'Deep Breathing', a Dragoon merit ability that doubles the potency of the next breath(effectivly counts the wyvern's Max HP twice, or acts as if it was doubled)wears off it says: "[Wyvern name]'s Magic Attack Boost wears off."
SE was lazy or just messed up the text, kind of like the corsair quickdraw that said "shadowbind wears off." If you really give a wyvern an MAB boost via empathy, it does not boost the breath damage. I tried it a couple times with a drg with deep breathing and diffusion amplification/memento mori.Originally Posted by SeraphusRagnarok
