It's not new to this year, but my friend has been sending me a lot of industrial music and I really liked "Defiance" from Assemblage 23. He did just release an album this year, but I wasn't as fond of it.

August Burns Red's Messengers and As I Lay Dying's An Ocean Between Us. Not only are they my favorite albums of 2007, but they've made their way into my favorite albums of all time.

Liars: "Liars"
My #1 of the year. I really love the Liars, so maybe I'm a bit biased, but it's a great album never-the-less.

Josh Ritter: "The Historical Conquests of Josh Ritter"
It's just good.

Bright Eyes: "Cassadaga"
I feel "I'm Wide Awake, It's Morning," is a little better, but I still loved Cassadaga.

M. Ward: "Duet For Guitars #2"
I don't care if it's a remaster.
