I only beat the game yesterday, I had the Saren thing spoiled for me ages ago when I looked up an achievement guide list.

Anyway, I enjoyed the game overall but I didn't manage to get any ally achievements despite using Kaidan and Wrex for everything I did(which evidently was not enough ). Kaidan was also the one I allowed to remain behind on Virmire as I tried to do the romance plot with Ashley but instead it happened with Liara. Well, I guess on the plus side I can play through the game again with Wrex, Wrex is badass.

I'll probably end up replaying as my 50 soldier until I hit 60 and worry about all the tech and biotic achievements after.

I played a tiny bit of KOTOR at a friend's house before, but never bothered to check it out any further, neither did I play the second game or Jade Empire. After my experience with ME and hearing about how the good/bad alignment system seems to have a greater bearing in those games, I'm gonna have a look around for them when I get the chance.

I was just stuck in the awkward sections where your main is too weak to really contribute much to the overall damage of the group and nobody else is really blowing any doors off anything either(was still doing the Taris missions.)

My main problem is that I'm whiffing waaaaaaaaay too much with my main character now. I completely miss most Flurries and my hit rate on Critical Strikes isn't all that much better. The god damn Mandalorians on Kashyykk give me a run for my money every time I bring them out. My party setup is Jolee and Bastila at the moment.

What jedi class are you? Are you doing dueling or two-weapon fighting? If you're a two-weapon fighting scoundrel-consular or scoundrel-sentinel then yeah, your hit rate will kind of really suck. The best thing you can do in such a case is either learn to love your jedi powers or boost your DEX or STR (the higher one gives you your attack bonus for lightsabers.) If your hit rate sucks, the best thing you can do is go for improved/master flurry and knight/master jedi speed so you get more attacks. Hell, do that regardless lol. The speed spells in particular are great since you get a major movespeed increase. It makes running around planets like Tatooine far less of a pain in the ass.

As far as party members, I don't suggest using Bastila really. I'd use Jolee+HK-47 if you have a high repair skill. HK-47 is a blaster rifle specialist "protocol" droid who has just enough skill points (2/lvl) to do computer use or demolitions, your choice which. If you get a repair skill of 17+ (after bonuses from items and attributes) you can give him major boosts to his stats, +5 DEX +2 Defense and +2 vp/round regen.

If you don't have HK-47 go the fuck to tatooine you insolent meatbag. By far the funniest character in the game (though Jolee has some damn good lines.)

I love the dialogue with him. He's by far and away the most amusing part of the game. I love that they kept him in KOTOR II. And yeah, I was being a dumbass and using two lightsabers. My class now is Sentinel. I've worked up a few of my force skills so far, force push, stasis, suppression, knight speed, shock, and cure.

I've been having a bit of an easier time. I usually open a fight using stasis first or stun droid with Jolee and then start pummeling them.
