If LotR was three movies and like, what, 600 minutes, The Silmarillion would be 49 movies, approximately 9 years to watch.

Id fucking do it, 9yrs well spent

2 part hobbit movie. I hate 2 parters just because of having to wait for the second half >_< Oh well, ill go to a movie premiere were they show the 1st half before the 2nd and gladly spend 4-5hrs sitting and watching.

I really detested the Silmarillion. It was like the bible of middle earth, which is fine if you wanted that, but I don't think it would make a good film.
