Maybe I'm super tired and didn't read it properly, but the MangaPanda version seemed like it was missing stuff. Gonna re-read the MangaStream version in the morning
Yeah, between that and the better translation, the MS version made a lot more sense. Chapter was okay. Obviously not as filling as the inbetweeners, but it's following Oda's typical style of the slow reveal of info until shit eventually gets real
Biggest shock in manga history if half the crew is actually dead.
Well, if they're on the brink of death, Trafalgar Law could probably save them. Or he could grant one of them eternal life in exchange for his own life.
Can Brooke even die? Anyway Im willing to bet it was some illusion to make others think they died (Brooke and/or Ceasar can do something like that).
Brooke can die if he's submerged in salt water or his body is destoyed completely.
And I doubt they're dead, Sanji is too strong to just go out like that.
Chapter felt extremely short
Spoiler: show
Does Oda have a debilitating disease?
He's just got really shitty living habits and being the all time best seller of a manga series, Jump is just playing it safe. There's an interesting "top 10 things you should know about Oda" on IGN, but I forget if we're allowed to post URL's to that site or not. Can probably just google it for yourself though.
Basically, it says he's a heavy smoker and works from 5am to 2am 6 days a week drawing manga (think Eiji Niizuma from Bakuman, who is more or less an imitation of Oda if you think about it)
Edit: Here's the list actually, just on a different site http://orojackson.com/threads/10-thi...hiro-oda.3877/
"I got into manga to avoid getting a real job."
*works 21 hour days, 6 days a week*
Interesting stuff though. I'm just glad Jump forces him to take a break every so often, he really sounds like he would have worked himself to death.
So my theory:
Spoiler: show
Makes sense, could lead to the next arc of "Rescue Sanji"
New One Piece movie announced as well:
Looks like another "Nami got kidnapped" plot. Oda involved in the story and etc etc like the last couple ones.
I dunno if anyone is interested in watching it but it seems next week will finally be the badass moment between Zoro and Pica.
