If it really matters, the food effects are:
Melon Snowcone - HP+10% hHP+3 (5 minutes)
M&P Doner Kebab - HP+5% MP+5% hHP+2 hMP+2 (5 minutes)
Cotton Candy - MP+10% hMP+3 (5 minutes)
Spot the Difference, wtf. I just barely scraped 10 but someone's gotten 23. 23 IN 60 SECONDS? Fucking hell.
Spot the Difference was the easy one...
The chocobo thing rapes children
where's the bastok one ?
Too easy. Even with the apparent lag.
-4 Inventory though until next version update.![]()
I dunno, I'm used to games the require precision like Ikaruga, the various Raiden games and stuff like that.
I thought this would have been easy for me, but for whatever reason I found it quite challenging.
For anyone goldfish scooping, the Calico Comet and Pearlscale are treated like Lionheads when you see the fish message (A fat, juicy goldfish approaches!). Calico Comets are worth 30 points when you trade them, haven't tested the Pearlscale I fished up yet.
Edit: Pearlscales also 30 points.
It's definitely the line; if you notice when you 'catch' a chick, the chick depops at the line.
You can often catch a chick as you're moving away from a lane and also catch the one just about to hit the line in the next lane, and you can move on top of a mandy as soon as it's past the line... but the sort of catching as you're moving away is finally what helped me win that stupid game.
Had no issue with shooting gallery, it's just luck of the draw on how many pixies you get in a game.
Spot the Difference was weird, because I was looking at the wrong sets of people a few times through on one of the scenarios, and because it happened to be right the first two times or something, I didn't realize why I got it wrong the next few times.. hehe.
Overall, though, pretty fun stuff. Was going to post food stats but I see someone beat me. :D
Well, FFXI minigames usually are laggy and shitty because of it's engine. Spot the difference was okay, but was all based on luck. Same with the shooting gallery, i got 5-6 pixies in a row, just wasting the timer.
I mean, the one that always springs to mind is that Assault Rankup where you had to train those mercenaries with blowing the whistle or cheering them on. Holy fuck that was murder, and waiting a game day if you failed just made me rage.
Rock on Ikaruga though, just got it on XBLA. Fuckin' great port.
<3 Sandy Basty games </3 Windy game
Somehow, someone called Giku has the record for hard mode of 55 on Asura... I just scraped by with 31... <_>
The Mini-games are actually fun, I'm surprised. I hope they continue doing events like this.
I'm backwards of most people. Sandy's minigame kicked my ass. I lost almost 40 times before I finally beat it. (I was having a hard time with the timing, seemed like you had to hit enter the very moment the change appeared on the screen. Or something. Edit: I also had real trouble with one of the scenes, the taru ones (not walking in pairs) where they're going in various directions. My brain kept seeing things backwards and I couldn't tell what was 'matching'.)
Loved Bastok's shooting one to death, I won on the first try.
Loved Windy's chocobo chick catching. Won on the third try but it was so much fun I wished it had taken longer.
A little trick with the shooting game. if you click 'wait' on a pixie it depops it and advances to the next target. Saves a LOAD of time
You know, if the cotton candy's mp% doesn't cap, it could be the highest mp food in the game... I'm using it for soloing blm now, and there's a cap it's at least 80.
