i really want to switch Lehko's casting motions into the normal mithra casting dats, as well as his death motion, but cant seem to locate his dats for those. if someone can get me a list that would be awesome
I intend to release them when I feel I've implemented enough icons. The hard part is trying to figure out a good way to represent things like Magic Evasion Down, etc. A lot of JA icons that need to be added too. Also, I want to redo the songs/rolls/geo icons, I'm currently using tiny lettering but after trying it out, it seems like it would be too small to read. For Mazurka, I just added a little chocobo in the corner of the song icon, so I think I'll probably try something similar for the rest (ie: the green haste circle in the corner of the March and Geo-Haste icon).

Since this August update removed the red lines on pets when doing their TP moves, specifically smn avatars for me, is there a dat that was changed that could edited to put those lines back in? I hate that this was removed

He explained it's a pretty long process, and each race/gender needs individual work. I suggest asking a single one!

I imagine if he kept any of the files (or copies of them) He might have had a layer where he changes the color or however he did it to change it easily to check the various options. Recoloring is prolly the limit of what I could do in regards to dat modding as opposed to makin new/altering mods. I just havent tried it out yet as I am not totally computer smart when it comes to programing and dealin with Hex values. I have some programs but i am not sure If i have all that is needed. But soon I think i might try a simple recolor and see how it comes out. I really havent messed with them too much.It's a very simple mod, actually, it just comes down to "what color would you like?" That being said, what color would you like?
The hands, legs, and feet are very easy to recolor, but the body is tricky since it has that leather cummerbund thing. It's not too lengthy a process, I just open the textures in Photoshop; from there I use the "Replace Color" tool, which modifies colors based on how close to salmon they are, and simply change it to a new color (the blue, for example, a simple hue change). Anyway, yeah, I'd say either pick a single one, or if there's a color I didn't put up there, I can do that too, just be specific because I'm colorblind. Saying "make it green" is vague, whereas a picture or RGB is helpful.
Incidentally, I couldn't find any icons from Lunar I wanted to use. Not yet, at least. Most of them are from Mana series games, FFV, and Fire Emblems. A lot of them I've had to touch up or draw in the style of others (Drown, Shock, etc). The colored orbs in the Regen/Refresh/Regain are actually materia.
Well I am cool with any of 7 8 or 9, though a darker color would prolly fit in with the dark color of Artifact when combined together. So whatever you feel like doing is cool for me.
I have been wanting to make my own buff icons for a long time. I like some of yours I have seen so far, so a couple of mine i have worked on/plan to do take the idea of some of yours, though i am drawing from scratch. I am trying to come up with a way to signify what kind of buff it is. Lot of stuff we have had would be like multiple colored die for corsair roll. Which is great but i cant ever remember if this color means what and then sometimes they are various shades of the same color. I am not so big on puttin words or letters in them So comin up with a system gets kinda tricky lol.
Yeah, for the song/roll/geo icons I've tried several things with varying results:
- Lettering in the corner (like I did with other icons above), but I can't just stick an M down there when there's March, Madrigal, and Minuet
- Tiny wording at the bottom/corner, but this becomes unreadable
- Smaller versions of regular icons in the corner (ie: a haste circle in the corner of March), which has mixed results. Some icons are clear, while others are hard to distinguish.
Still trying to figure out something, I think this is the biggest issue holding back the release of my icons dat.

Hmm maybe, Marth's Falchion never seemed flashy enough. Lucina's Falchion would be interesting though, if I could get a model file and texture to base it off of. I was thinking I'd probably do some of the less crazy Monster Hunter weapons, actually. But anyway when I do my modding stuff, I tend to cycle through some variation of models > icons > recoloring > music > models, so probably nothing for a while. I also have no idea if there's any demand for this stuff or if I'm just making it for my own amusement.
Side note: When making Ragnell, I attempted starting with a base FFXI greatsword model and going from there. This turned out to be a bad idea, at least for the way I've been working, as VRS would regularly try to reconnect vertices that I separated after exporting.
High quality textures of falchion are sparse at the moment but I imagine that will change once ssb comes out, since Lucina will be in it.
thanks to the inspiration above, i no longer am salmon either. was a lot easier than i expected for zero knowledge beforehand! as you can see it's not perfect with some blotches, but was fun to play with at 3am.
