AV was killed many times with a squad of DRKs when it was lockable via Wynavs. They never nerfed SEBW then when they could have easily done so while constantly ninja-tweaking different aspects of AV.

Back then it was more to speed up the process and not of necessity. Now with this time limit and risk of 2hrs going off it's best to down it quick.

BTW, are LSes locking down his regen and then doing the zerg, or is that's what accounting for the disparity betwen the initial HP estimates and SA's parsed 75k?

The video looks like it shows AV 'locking' itself temporarily when it hits certain HP modes. Like an obvious one is at 59% it goes bracers and takes like 5 seconds to get the damn bracers on.

I think the key to this may be just pure DD speed. If you can gank it fast enough, you'll hit an AI change (say 59%), which takes a bit of time to 'load' or for AV to physically do something like put bracers on, but before it can finish this loading and start to kill you, you've hit another 'change' and it just locks it with these AI shifts.

Similar thing to Baha2 ganks where if you go fast enough Baha just talks because you're forcing AI shifts every 10% with those flares and summons.

Just a thought.

First, congratulations! Secondly, make sure you whore that retarded NM's drops out, I'm very impressed. We tried AV earlier tonight, twice. Unfortunately the lowest we ended up getting it to was 70 something before he used benediction.

Honestly from my experience tonight the biggest problem with doing AV without Drk zerging it is the charm spam when it uses SV. It just spammed it on us, each pld we swapped out that was charmed to get in a fresh pld didn't even uncharm by the time the new pld got charmed. We lived through the mets and the Aeroga spams easily, charm was our undoing. Hundred Fists was also laughable with Phalanx and Aegis.

Big grats again on your kills, Apathy too.

You guys did do really well. Dohl and you both survived everything he threw at you but the Charms really messed things up :/ I noticed that it seemed to repeat the Call Wyvern > Soul Voice sequence 3 times in a row though and thought it was a bit odd that it did that. After that sequence 3 times in a row, your alliance wasn't in very good shape and the Comet/Meteor spam ended that attempt :/ If you could avoid the damage that Virelai was causing, who knows. It was a nice attempt anyway and hopefully you'll keep trying!
