To me personally it's blatantly obvious that everyone is missing something with the AV/Player 2 hour key, as far as killing it the way SE wants you to. I agree with above poster I think efforts should be focused on figuring that key out. There's no way that they repeated players 2 houring after AV over and over for it to be meaningless.

Great Job on the zerg attempts though, I think we can all agree we just want to see someone kill it by any means at this point. Just a little more umph and luck on that 8% team and you guys will have him down.

I just want to repeat again , 1 thing that SE does in the video that rarely someone does while testing their theories. SE fought AV immediately without sacing him until alliance ready.
might want to add that once AV hate list is 0 , all dots are gone and his 2hrs are reset . so if he is linked to JoL which he is, then losing hate on him means all whatever linked to effect his behavior got erased along with the dots and the 2hr reset.

I think you are dead on with this. Multiple reports seem to indicate that if AV has it's hate list cleared then it resets.

As a general hypothesis right now: JoL killed after repeating pets start. Maybe nuking JoL with the day or it's current weakness. Nuking AV with the day. This may completely break it's regen.

As for two hours? Did anyone notice if it ever used Bloodweapon with so many other DRK's using Bloodweapon? What did it do at 79% during the zerg. It may have gone down too fast for anyone to notice anything, but did it try to spam two-hours at any point?

all the drks were sub nin. He did nothing but the AOE jump WS for a few shadows and melee'd us, until he manafronted meteor at which point he was in bracelets mode.

I definitely wouldn't be surprised if SE did some type of anti-zerg ninja patch on AV at all. Hell every other time it was beat in the way that they didn't want it to be beaten, they have done this.

I think we need to remember the video. SE said everything was in the video. Although we couldn't figure out what all the two houring was about, it was pretty clear that the only thing to do with JoL was killing enough pets to halve AV's regen. I just don't want to see people wasting opportunities on unlikely solutions.

I agree with you that based on the video the dev team did not put much emphasis on how they killed JoL suggesting that it's more or less irrelavent. These tests would be accompanied by a defensive battle against AV focusing on keeping him engaged and active as long as we can so his behavior after the fact can be documented. As far as how you lock AV, I lean strongly towards the 2 hours based on the video again. I'd advocate popping a few two hours here and there in response to AV's 2 hours to go along with the defensive strat.

I agree with you these probably aren't the strategies to be implored if you want to win right now, but as it stands we lack definitive answers on the effect of how you kill JoL and what that does to AV. I'm operating under the notion that SE has suggested to us that the 2 are undoubtedly linked, and would like to see better tests of cause and effect.

won't happen. If it does, people will just drop from alliance and get invited after popping their 2 hours. If they make it so it detects anyone in range, then other LS can cause AV to Invincible whenever they want.
