I'm thinking that kid is September, this is why September comes back to 1985 and saves young "other" peter from drowning in the lake, because peter was saved, this screwed everything up in the observers timeline in the far future thus sending the Observers into action in 2015. Or the reason why peter was so important is because he put that tech in his neck and just bossed them causing problems. I think the plan walter has is an actual time machine as well.

I was a bit unhappy with last season and didnt watch the last half. Having said that, this season is great. It's totally worth watching.

Peter never went anywhere. If you care about the Peter x Olivia relationship build up, watch all of season 4. If you care about the overall plot then watch the last few episodes of season 4. The traditional time skip/universe skip episode 19 for that series is where they pick up at the beginning of season 5 so if you're going to skip an entire season it's going to be pretty confusing.

This current season is a stand alone season that requires no indept prior knowledge of the past seasons other than the general character relationships.

It was written in advance incase FOX wanted to end the series early. Its a 13 episode movie on the war vs the Observers (basically no more filler episodes unrelated to the main plot)

Its very much worth watching this season (past seasons is up to you). Can't believe there's a 3 week break especially when it just got reallllllllly interesting with Peter.

Episodes started again last night after a 3 week break for anyone that wasn't sure when it was coming back or just forgot.

Yay for no more breaks though, straight to the finale from here on out.
