NCAA Mens Basketball 2008-2009 Season + Tourny

I kept hearing on the radio that this committee has the least basketball experience ever or something similar to that. I predict some questionable picks among the seeds and also in the last teams in.

I also stand by my statements in previous years that they will take into account the number of teams from a conference and be less likely to take a 7th or 8th team from a power conference as opposed to a 2nd team from a mid-major. One of the first things the media/fans always talk about is how many bids a conference got and bitch about it. The committee claims they don't look at it, but I think they do.

I also feel they have the bracket done before the Big Ten Championship completes (the late game for Sunday) unless someone wins it that wouldn't have gotten in, thus making the Big Ten Championship game almost meaningless for seeding. Plus, what if the Big Ten Championship goes to triple overtime? Do they release the bracket while the game is still going on (like over the internet or something) or do they wait for the game to end?

I'd imagine they have the scenario for each outcome of the Big 10 already wrapped up before the game ends. Whent he game ends, they release the appropriate scenario. I also think UCONN deserves a #1 over Memphis. I think they've had a better whole season, although Memphis has had a much better past 12 games.

My prediction for top 3 seeds assuming dook wins the ACC:

#1 - Lou, UNC, Pitt, Memphis
#2 - UConn, dook, OK, MSU
#3 - Nova, Wake, Kansas, Washington

Matchups:
Lou - OK - Wake
UNC - MSU - Nova
Pitt - dook - Washington
Memphis - UConn - Kansas

EDIT: My reason for putting Memphis as the 1 is to reward them for their great year, but reward UConn as well by putting them with the weakest 1 seed.

Elite 8: Villanova
Semifinal: Louisville
Final: Pitt

Louisville got a dangerous draw for the 2nd round with Siena/Ohio State. Siena is probably by far the best mid-major that is under the radar and Ohio State has the talent to beat anyone. (just have underachieved through the year)

Arizona was possibly the least-deserving team out of the 8 or 9 teams fighting for the last spot.

Edit: Wow, Louisville could play Ohio State in Dayton OHIO
