Something about b&w's make them seem more classy/artistic instantly. I need to play around with that at some point.

I particulary liked this one, so pretty yet so melancholic...

Anyone do B&W with DSLR (Nikon 60/80/200)? I've never liked photoshopping out the color, so I've just continued to shoot it with my AE1

Yah, I have tried and in my opinion it just looks like a color photo in black in white. Imo you can't really recreate that B&W photo print look from a Dslr, its got to be done with film. The grainy look is what comes with it and it is awesome and encouraged.

Oh you certainly can create B&W with PS. You just have to not just goto colors options and slide it all the way to the left.

It takes quite a bit of work and lots and lots of layers. Playing with gamma settings is just the tip of the iceberg. Also shooting in RAW as opposed to JPG helps a ton in the conversion process since it actually gives you the correct xif data instead of just the flat image.

    Moots:

In the 2nd picture of the computer, did you use the popup flash?

Just a few of the things I've shot, I completely forgot about my Deviant Art account.

According to the EXIF data, yes I did.

Speaking of RAW shooting, I have started to shoot in RAW, but the EXIF data doesn't seem to be coming out right. Any ideas?

Yeah I've had that happen before, it's odd because it doesn't happen all the time either.
I'll look back through my notes and get back to you on that one, because I do remember it happening all the time on the D70 but not on the D80.

Well, if other people have the issue, there is probably a solution somewhere...

    Here's a random B&W shot.

You should take a picture of something for your avatar. It doesn't seem quite suitable anymore. Plus it'd give you an excuse to go take a picture of something.

Might I suggest that anime con coming up. Make it something creepy and furry.
