Disregard the behemoth CRT as it is a stand in while my LCD monitor is being repaired.

Not too shaby of a room on my budget if i do say so myself. Had to kill using the projector as the the entertainment center took up the wall i used.

I have another 17" monitor that isn't used, wish I could make it play PS2 games somehow. :[ Only has a VGA port.

Hahah, looks just like my desktop the last few days, Realtemp and HardOCP always on my screen (at least, that looks like HardOCP).

How hot is your GPU running? I know my 4870 was always hot before the fan fix, but it seems pretty good now even at load and I don't have the best cooling in my case atm (I'm using ATI Tray tools for a custom fan control table).

I'm running about 68-70°C at idle, and that seems a bit high.. I've tried playing around with the fan speeds but don't want to leave it on manual in case I get some load..

And wait what fan fix? You mean the updated Catalyst drivers?

Agreed. Liking this thread for this reason. I'm not all in to feng shui or whatever that is, but I do like organization and finding some good ideas.

P.s - anyone in Seattle/Tampa wanna buy a desktop PC? Only tower, no monitor as I want to keep mine.

Oh lawd is dat sum Raising Canes?

I used to love them a couple of years ago, but they've gone to shit now. Smaller chicken strips, and they raised the price a bit. At least the ones here in Houston.

brb taking desktop pic so I don't derail.

Edit: Here you go, excuse my shitty cam phone pic. :/
Edit #2: Deleted first pic, I think this one is a bit more acceptable.

Would like to upgrade to dual-wide screen monitors, but a new desk and chair are the priority.

Image goes down soon due to taking down server for move, in before redx comments.

Crappy picture of my 62" DLP. I'll try to get a better one after I get moved and have my TV back to take pictures of... should be on a moving truck somewhere between here and there...

Well when I said fan fix, I was referencing the pre-updated Catalyst drivers (where you had to edit profiles to manually set fanspeed), but its essentially the same thing. The auto fan settings for CCC are really fucked up (it was like 28% speed up until over 90c or something stupid), so I manually set to 38% (the cutoff for me where one more % and it would have gotten a bit louder than I wanted) and it never got that high again.

Now though, I'm using ATI Tray tools and set up a custom table of fanspeeds based on temperatures like,
    0-52c = 38%
    52-60c = 42%
    ....
    76-82c = 68%
    82-92c = 75%
    92+c = 100%
GPU now idles somewhere around 45c (so 38% FS). If I'm playing games it gets a bit louder, but still doesn't get that hot (less than your idle lol). Even with a core overclock to 850MHz and running Furmark (gets my card hotter than any other benchmark/game I find) for 10+ minutes, the card doesn't go above 80c.

I'd definitely advise using something like this as it keeps the card a lot cooler. I think you can do a similar thing in Rivatuner but I'm not entirely sure how. Even manually setting the speed higher would be huge (its been awhile since I used that, but I'm almost positive it handles load better than auto as well so you wouldn't have to worry about temps).

    Yeah.. blackberrys take awesome pictures...

In the market for a new corner desk, because I want to have room for a 22in monitor also and a netbook, took a look around at Ikea yesterday but didn't see anything I liked. Seen a few desks on here that are pretty nice.

I'm decently clean, at least in the immediate desk area, the little shelves just below the speakers are a mess though

I didn't see that keyboard on newegg when looking for a new one. I been thinking about moving my Denon home theater receiver over to the desk area, I think I should be able to use it with my new MB since I seen an optical port on it.
