Default RadioHead Vs Miley + Kayne

Radiohead's Thom Yorke Schools Miley Cyrus & Kanye West on Humility

    03/13/2009 12:00 PM, E! Online

When Radiohead refused to meet Miley Cyrus and Kanye West at the Grammy Awards last month, the starlet threatened to "ruin" them and the rapper refused to stand for their performance. Now the In Rainbows band is fighting back.

Cyrus kicked off the feudin' during an appearance on the Johnjay and Rich radio show and rambled on for more than six minutes about how the band dissed her after she begged her manager to set up an introduction.

"I'm like, these are the people I really want to meet," she said. "I'd freak out. They're my rock gods. These are the only people that I would cry over…My manager asked and said, 'Miley's really obsessed. And they were like, 'We don't really do that.' "

She continued on in disbelief about the Thom Yorke band's lack of interest in meeting the Hannah Montana, admitting she was so disappointed about the diss, she left the show early.

"I left 'cause I was so upset," she said. "I wasn't going to watch. Stinkin' Radiohead! I'm gonna ruin them, I'm going to tell everyone."

The three-time Grammy winners responded by putting the teen in her place…

"When Miley grows up, she'll learn not to have such a sense of entitlement," the quintet said in a statement.

But the Radiohead beef buck doesn't stop there.

During the taping for his episode of VH1's Storytellers, West complained that Yorke snubbed him as well.

"When he performed at the Grammys, I sat the f--k down," the rapper said.

The British "Creep" singer, already in full retaliation mode, concluded a blog post on the band's website with a wink and a nudge to both stars. "Wish us all a safe journey if you still like us and you're not one of those people I have managed to offend by doing nothing," Yorke writes.

    This story made my day.

Dick move or not, the fit Miley Cyrus pulled pretty much played right into Yorke's hand. She didn't get to have her way and she threw a temper tantrum. She deserved to be called out for it.

EDIT: It's going to be funny when the Curse of Disney strikes and she gets knocked up.

As for Kanye... I wrote him off as a joke after "George Bush doesn't care about black people."

Kanye is a moron. Did ya'll hear about his VH1 storytellers show?

According to a Reuters report, at one point during the taping West asked the crowd, "Can't we give Chris a break? ... I know I make mistakes in life." Brown, who was arrested during the Grammys and booked on suspicion of making criminal threats, a felony, has not been charged in the case.

West also reportedly received loud applause when he followed by saying, "Michael Jackson, amazing. Michael Phelps, amazing ... He's a real f---in' person; he makes mistakes." West also made a rather puzzing comment about O.J. Simpson, saying, "O.J. Simpson, amazing. Is he not? What he did, when he did, what he did. Was he not amazing, though?"

And LOL @ Kayne on American Idol.

Eh. sounds like a typical teenage girl reaction tbh. Take any other random teenage fangirl who got snubbed by their idol/deity and you'd have essentially the same result.

Doesn't matter if you like the band or not, the fact that they didn't indulge the whims of an entitled, spoiled Hollywood brat makes me feel warm and fuzzy on the inside. Especially considering that she decided to "ruin" them because they did something SOOOOOOOO terrible to her. Because really, who wouldn't want to meet someone who was literally invented by a massive corporation?

I don't think I've ever heard a Radiohead song, but props to them for doing this. Miley Cyrus is very spoiled (there was a youtube thing between her and her co-star a while ago, she was being very immature). Kayne West talks over a beat. Losing them both is losing nothing for the industry of music.

Hollywood brat aside, she's still just another kid who idolizes the band. Thom Yorke can't see past his own bullshit to shake a kid's hand?

Karma Police was fucking amazing, then again who knows how much they really made it, that whole soundtrack was incredible.

But, yeah, wtf @ refusing to meet people. It's not like they were asking them to come play some rich kid's birthday party for free or something.

edit: er, not karma police, Talk Show Host

yeah, because the instant you release an album that other people like, you automatically have to do everything someone asks you to

This is what annoys the fuck out of me about British bands, I mean besides the bad teeth, They all want to be Johnny fucking Rotten and the Sex Pistols v2.0.

Oasis pulled it off decently, everyone else needs to drop the fucking shtick already.

They're at a fucking show with other people, they're asked for 30 seconds to say hi, that's too much?

I like how you cut out the part where I pointed out they weren't asking for some ridiculous shit, only a brief chance to meet.
