it's actually a fucking hilarious page and a half if you realize that ksandra recently hit 1600 in rbg's with a 40% win rate that's ENTIRELY based around turtling the 2 ctf maps and getting completely destroyed on every other map and thinks this makes her an expert on representation, never mind actual facts or anything
welp
sticking with terrible
But they are. I played a monk in pvp in "higher" brackets (2050 in 3s and 1980 in RBGs, which was the highest I could get before teams wouldnt take me EVER) back in 5.0/5.1 and then again in 5.2. At least pre 5.2 you could gimmick your way to higher ratings, I think a few people even got glad on their monks, but 5.2 for monks is garbage. Those same people who got glad? Yeah they all QUIT being monks except for 1 I believe because it was just pointless, you're a burden to your team. Why would any RBG/Arena team want a WW when almost every other dps has better mobility (yeah monks have great mobility, too bad everything is too gimmicky to work right) and an easier time at target swapping and burst.
Name of the game is swap n burst right now, even more then other seasons and monks just have sustained damage which doesn't do jack shit in arena/rbgs. Looks nice on the scoreboard in a regular bg for sure when you can just constantly beat the shit out of lower geared players. As for MW's I didn't play one, but I know they eat CC out the ass like pallies, and I did play a BrM as a pvp tank and anytime you get stunned w/o a trinket up = gg dead.

Ret pallies, in close to the worst state they've ever been, make up 5% of the overall pvp population, 4.5% of the above 2200 rep.
ALL monk specs combined make up 5.9% of overall, 2.7% of 2200+.
First, I have said a million times I am not an expert. I can't join a regular team because I have a daughter who is a million times more important than wow. My rbg time is during her naps if at all. Of course my win rate is shit because I'm stuck doing pugs with idiots who talk a big game when forming, but then when we get in a game they say, "you all should know what to do." and not say anything else for the rest of the fight. I am not exaggerating when I say that's happen to me three times in the past two weeks.
I also joined a bunch of those lose to cap rbgs when the season first started and I wasn't capped on malv yet.
with that said, 90% of the time I've got a mw in the group, and I see them on the enemy side almost constantly.
which, again, should all add up to tell you the exact opposite of what you think it does
That it's rare? Nope.
Also forgot to mention, I started late on my hunter, because she is my alt. I no longer trust pug target callers, and I'm more comfortable tcing on hunter than on priest. I was doing the lose to cap just to get her gear when I was pushing on priest. I wasn't referring to those games when I talk about monks in my groups btw. The you think only people who have the time to push rating are good let's me know you are shortsighted.
I have absolutely no motivation to level my priest. It's 87, got it there through monkey runs. Haven't really played the game in like 2-3 months because of guild/raidgroup of RL friends falling apart. Wanted to get it to 90 so I could find a guild easier if we were to apply as a group of 2-4, but really I just can't get into it. I think I want to play it, then it's like, fuck leveling. Then I think, what if I hate healing, Spriest isn't even that strong.
Fucking no motivation in at least 2 months. I really wanted to do ToT too and now I'm not even sure I'll make the next patch.
pushing rating doesn't even tell me someone's good when it comes to the version of pvp where losing doesn't cost rating
but...
Eye of the Storm 10v10 3 0–3 (0%)
Silvershard Mines 10v10 5 0–5 (0%)
The Battle for Gilneas 10v10 14 3–11 (21%)
as compared to your 50% or slightly higher win rate on ctf maps... tells me a lot
especially about your target caller...
and yes, finding monks regularly in trade pugs while they're not showing up anywhere in quality ratings should, in fact, tell you that they're not doing well
in the end we've spendt like 2 full pages now because you're still trying to argue against the facts of current representation with "but I see them in my turbl trade pugs all the time!"
Again, I did a lot of lose to caps pugs on my alt. My win/lose rate is insanely skewed because of it. Lose to caps were great because I could afk and watch my daughter for a class I didn't care about until a week ago. Hell look at her pve gear to get an idea of how hunter is not my main. I only try to keep her active because she is my oldest alliance character. Priest has been my main since wotlk.
I have also never been the tc on any of the maps you've listed (including gilneas) as I just started doing it last week, and obviously I'm not always going to be main tc in a pug if the dk knows how to do it.
feel free though to keep making insanely wrong assumptions about me because you only know my alt's name, to prove you know nothing about me.
again, it doesn't matter what I know about you, I'm just pointing out the hilarity of the facts behind your assumptions
we established you were flat wrong on the actual topic at hand almost immediately
all your claims of your bad record being because you're in trade pugs and "lose to cap" groups have done is reinforce that point over and over and over but... you're ksandra
it's won more fucking games than your main jesus christ I was trying to give you a little bit of credit
it's played more games than my main.
THink what you want plow I started her off with like a 10% win rate and have brought it up to 40%.
I am also not even referring to the games I've played. I dunno why you keep saying trade games. I get in games through OQueue, and I see leaders constantly asking for mistweaver in OQueue.
And again, I did not say they were common in top rated teams. You didn't specify. You said they were rare in pvp. That's it. Not "rare in the top 50 arenas" or something. And so I said they are not rare at low levels and now you gotta try to call my pvping out to make your pencil feel bigger, when nothing you said counters what I am saying because you fail at reading.
Notice my FIRST response was asking you what you were referring to, but you went all shit dick in response.
YOU ARE BOTH RETARDED, SHUT THE FUCK UP OR I WILL BAN YOU BOTH
for the 50 thousandth time, I will spell out everything for you, because holy shit you are one of the stupidest people I've ever talked to
you think that you seeing a mistweaver in a lot of your games means they're common, but you're wrong, as proven by the actual representation at all levels, which I posted
they are EXTREMELY rare to the point of essentially not existing in high end
You personally are terrible. You play with terrible people. The reason you see monks a lot is because the only groups they can get into are with people that are terrible like yourself.
You have extremely limited experience, and you are straight up ignoring the actual statistics because you think your tiny bit of experience is more useful information.
All of that is beside the point, but you want to argue it anyway because you're too stupid to grasp a simple fact:
They're a new class, and not very many people ended up picking them up. The only things with lower rep than them in pve are the shit specs of classes that have higher representation in others. In pvp, even the shit specs have better representation half the time.
You can spout off about your main and alt and the whopping 20 wins worth of experience you have on each all you like, the fact is that there are less people playing monk than anything else. Period.
The only reason your experience and your skill level ever came into this discussion is because you decided to argue they were more valid than the fucking facts.
i wish i could headbutt you right now
