Played frost in raid finder today, now I'm a little worried about my "main" selection for mists lol.
Anyone else notice how high blood DK dps in raid? Our DK pulled 60k+ on most fights and I think 100k on Yorsahj.

I honestly don't know but there is the log for Yorsahj. Also ignore most of the low dps, I'm pretty sure half of them didn't even research their new spec/rotations.
Some classes have drastically changed though, when I tried warlock on PTR I didn't have a fucking clue what to use/rotation or anything! which is kinda good and also sucky. Good because there's new stuff to play with, sucky because everything I once knew about the class has probably changed.
Sneaky EU devs also changed the duration of the server downtime while I was asleep - .-. Lo and behold, it's also raining heavily outside.
Apparently Mandokir is soloable for Dks with the Purgatory talent. Because Vengenance doesn't have a cap (?), he was able to mitigate Decapiciate (can't spell it...) which apparently does 2 million damage, causing his attack power to basically go through the roof and bring down Mandokir really quickly?

Purgatory did save him, but due to the ludicrous amount of damage Mandokir does (over 20 million unmitigated with Decapitate), his AP went through the roof due to Vengeance and he was able to heal through the Shroud of Purgatory with Death Siphon due to having so much AP.
Ah well, we'll see tonight. Can't be that hard to relearn everything, but it's not like much changed for DK. I'm still highly confident.
Alright, the gold nerf sucks ass.
There's litterally no gold in soloing old raids any more. Even trash gold is nerfed. Blood DK's are now extremely RNG at soloing kael, three attemps always left me MC'd at 90%ish of kaels HP. Cannot spec out of bloodworms.

edit: oneshot as frost with dual soul-drinkers, one tanking trinket, AMZ, unholy blight, death siphon, runic corruption. The black orb things he does once he is under 50% no longer despawn.. meaning you have to kite him a little.
Tried hunter, pet has lost 60k HP, can no longer set its tanking talents. It died on Ony during the whelps, thankfully reviving it only takes half as long now. Still oneshot ony.
Kael was a bitch too, kept MCing me. You also can't equip the staff and your bow at the same time now, should've seen my face when I realised this mid fight. After trying as MM about three times, I flew to Shat, respeced to BM, got out my spirit beast and then one-shot him. Keep staff equipped mostly 24/7 and let the pet do most of the work. Took almost twice as long as usual.
Pets are taking AOE damage leading to death.
Warlock pets are now taunting with no ability to turn it off/ Or their attacks have too high of a threat modifier
I'm really annoyed at the changes to S Priest, turning Devouring Plague into a spell I can only use with orbs up, that's always been one of my favorite spells to use in both PvE and PvP since it's instant cast and does instant damage. I didn't anticipate that change. I'll see how it plays once I learn a new rotation but it's going to be weird training myself not to use it as readily as I always have.
vengeance isn't nerfed, it's quite good
however, they gave us the classwide 1 sec gcd, which is balanced around at 90, but not balanced at 85 at all
haven't checked today but as of last night the 2 best ultrax parses in the world were both blood dk, one at 80k one at 72k
edit: lol just looked and it's 7 of the top 8 now, with the highest being 87k

I chose Runic Empowerment, I'm spending far too much time waiting for my runes to come up. Single target DPS is at 25k in DPS gear at the moment, 397~
er, I'm not sure if you get what I mean
base gcd in WoW is 1.5 seconds, though rogues have always had 1 sec (and maybe ferals? not sure)
until now, unholy presence reduced gcd to 1 second, and in order to get anyone to actually use frost presence they had to give us 1 sec gcd baseline instead of tied to a presence, meaning blood can now use an ability every second instead of every 1.5 seconds
blood didn't have a whole lot of downtime to begin with, and doing more, faster to start with results in more, faster rune strikes, in turn more, faster RE procs, etc. etc.
as for your dps, are you talking about blood? If so, you need to keep in mind that the old glyph of heart strike is built in and DS is at 35% now, so you can dump your deaths on hs a whole lot more often
on the fights I tanked last night (moarcock, ultrax, boat, madness), I was having trouble breaking 30k because our main tank is a meter whore and he wasn't about to let me get vengeance instead of him
I did like 34k on ultrax just cuz of the vengeance from aoe.
I want my Prime glyphs back, or an extra ring of Majors. There's too many somewhat-useful Majors that would be really nice to have but are outclassed by a few really good ones that should be Primes.
Also, Camouflage still needs either a few seconds more of duration, or just lasts until canceled. Silly to be revealed every minute for no reason. And I wish they'd wrap Widow Venom into something useful. Maybe tie it with Concussive shot, or give it a little bit of damage on its own. Idfk, something.
Otherwise, I'm digging the changes. And actually, the hunter complaints are really just hold-overs from the old stuff, so overall I'm pretty pleased.
