Notice it's a hi-res shot, taken by a professional, and looks airbrushed around the neck region.

First a little background on me. I'm not a GD, I'm a market researcher but I work with PR people from time to time and I'm decent at Photoshop from taking classes in college.

I send him a PM initially asking him if he had any stock material. He replies back and says "tons of pics on the myspace" so I go there and it's a bunch of pics with him drinking beer and stuff taken with some generic best buy digital or similar. Nothing even close to a decent stock pic.

There's one artsy B&W pic of him and a girl that is workable I guess. So I take a few minutes and crop and add text... nothing amazing but I did it quickly. See below:

He replies back saying it's not "professional" to have the girl in the picture (it's an album cover ffs) and I reply back telling him if he wants something "professional" like the picture he posted in his OP to get some fucking hi-res pics unless he enjoys mad pixelation. He never replied back and is now using the loltastic cover you see today.
